  • Patent number: 12232862
Abstract: The present invention may provide a device and a method for detecting and diagnosing sleep apnea, which can accurately determine an apnea state by: extracting a respiration signal of an examinee from a received signal which is a reflection of an impulse signal emitted from at least one IR-UWB radar; setting a threshold value for determining an apnea state from changes in the deviation and interval between peaks of the extracted respiration signal; and comparing the set threshold value with the deviation between the peaks. Therefore, the sleep apnea can be accurately detected and diagnosed using a non-contact/noninvasive method, and thus inconvenience felt by the examinee can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 8010802
Abstract: Provided is a cryptographic device performing encryption or decryption on input data, and more particularly, a cryptographic device having a session memory bus for communicating with a session memory. The cryptographic device includes: an external session memory for storing cryptographic information on each session; a cryptographic processor for encrypting or decrypting input data using the cryptographic information; an external session memory bus connected to the external session memory and the cryptographic processor; and a Central Processing Unit (CPU) for transferring and receiving data to and from the external session memory via the cryptographic processor. The separate session memory buses allow the cryptographic processor to access a session memory without being disturbed by another device, thereby improving the entire performance of the cryptographic device.

  • Publication number: 20050210875
Abstract: A turbocharger includes a foil bearing assembly mounted in a center housing between a compressor and a turbine of the turbocharger. The bearing assembly forms a unit installable into the center housing from one end thereof, and the center housing is a one-piece construction. The bearing assembly includes a foil thrust bearing assembly disposed between two foil journal bearings. The journals foils are mounted in annular bearing carriers fixedly mounted in the center housing. A radially inner portion of a thrust disk of the thrust bearing assembly is captured between a shaft and a shaft sleeve of the turbocharger. The center housing defines cooling air passages for supplying cooling air to the foil bearings, and optionally includes a water jacket for circulating engine coolant through the center housing.

  • Publication number: 20050163407
Abstract: A high load capacity hydrodynamic journal foil bearing system is disclosed, which comprises a top foil and a plurality of undersprings. Preload forces are transferred from the undersprings to internal circumferential compressive forces within a top foil, resulting in low preload forces against the shaft, allowing the shaft to expand at high speeds without increasing the preload forces or overloading the fluid film. One underspring may have a different spring rate than another underspring. The top foil may be normalized to shaft shape and dimensions. These features may be accomplished with using less mechanical parts than other journal foil bearing system designs.

Abstract: A parallel processor of a distributed sample scrambler of cell-based physical layer of ISDN(Integrated Service Digital Network) used in a 16-bit mode of utopia interface is disclosed. The parallel processor employs a simple logic to process a predetermined bit of pseudo random binary bit stream in parallel, discriminating the cell boundary of the IDSN easily and reliably. The parallel processor comprises a first pseudo random bit stream production block for producing a first pseudo random binary bit stream within a word parallel clock according to a predetermined byte of an ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) cell applied from an external; a second pseudo random bit stream production block for producing a second pseudo random binary bit stream within a word parallel clock according to the predetermined byte of the ATM cell; and a selector for selectively producing one of the first and the second pseudo random binary bit streams according to an external signal.
