When the LUMO of the charge balance layer (ECL) is at least 0.2 eV higher than the LUMO of the electron transport layer (EEL), and the HOMO of the charge balance layer (ECH) is at least 0.2 eV lower than the HOMO of the fluorescent dopant (EdH), the rate of electron injection into the emission layer can be controlled, and direct electron injection into the host and dopant at the same or substantially the same time can be achieved, thereby improving the device efficiency.
