Abstract: Methods and apparatus to use a network repository as a proxy to exchange converged address book service requests and responses are disclosed. An example method disclosed herein comprises storing, at a network repository of a converged address book (CAB) service, a request identifying a CAB service feature, and obtaining from said network repository, a response associated with said request, said request and said response being stored in a document conforming to a CAB service handler application usage.

Abstract: A content delivery system, a mobile subscriber terminal (102) and method for mediated access to a data façade are generally described herein. In some embodiments, the mobile subscriber terminal (102) includes one or more applications (108) that may request advertisements, a mediator client (104), and a delivery client (106) operating as a data façade that interfaces with a delivery server (130). The mediator client (104) may generate an application profile based on advertising preferences of the applications (108) and may register with the data façade using the application profile. The mediator client may identify, filter and select advertisements to provide targeted content in response to requests from the applications (103).

The reference may be usable to identify the received message.

Abstract: Methods are provided for searching at least one directory that is external to an address book architecture including a client and a server. In one embodiment a client may communicate a contact search request that specifies an external directory which does not support a standard search format, the request causing the server to translate the request to an external search request in another format supported by the external directory. In another embodiment a server may translate a contact search request received from a client when the request specifies an external directory which does not support a standard search format. In yet another embodiment an interworking function, which is operable to import contact information from a legacy address book storage to a converged address book storage, of an address book server is adapted to query an external directory which does not support a standard search format.

Abstract: In a RTP stream having a plurality of FEC frames containing source blocks of media packets, random access points are inserted in front of the source blocks so as to allow a media decoder to decode the media packets as soon as FEC decoding is finished. In particular, the media packets contain forward error correction (FEC) source blocks for a multimedia broadcast/multicast-based streaming service content. As the multimedia broadcast/multicast streaming service includes dynamic interactive multimedia scene content where the source RTP packets of different media along with the FEC RTP packets are transmitted as separate RTP streams, the inclusion of the random access point facilitates immediate rendering of the dynamic interactive multimedia scene content after FEC decoding, thus reducing the tune-in latency.

Abstract: Embodiments of a mobile broadcasting system and method for enhancing mobile broadcasting services with rich media are described herein. In some embodiments, a rich media element is included as part of a terminal capability requirement element of an access fragment of a service guide. The rich media element indicates capabilities to access and render associated rich media content. A rich media element may also be included in a preview data fragment of the service guide to indicate how to obtain a rich media clip to enable a user to preview a service or rich media content in a rich media format.

Abstract: A method of embedding vector graphics content such as SVG into the 3GPP ISO Base Media File Format for progressive downloading or streaming of live rich media content over MMS/PSS/MBMS services. The method of the present invention allows the file format to be used for the packaging of rich media content including graphics, video, text and images; enables streaming servers to generate RTP packets; and enables clients to realize, play, or render rich media content.
