  • Publication number: 20180081815
Abstract: Systems and methods for accessing a cache include determining if a current access of the cache will satisfy an expected relationship with a next access of the cache, wherein the cache is a set-associative cache comprising multiple ways. The next way for the next access is stored in a next way field associated with the current access. If the expected relationship will be satisfied, such as a sequential relationship which will be satisfied in the case of an instruction cache when the current access does not cause a change in control flow, the next way for the next access is retrieved from the next way field associated with the current access. The next way of the cache is then directly accessed using the retrieved next way.

  • Publication number: 20180077520
Abstract: Communication may be enabled between mobile devices (i.e., controllers) and Internet of Things (IoT) devices by sending connectionless commands from a controller to an IoT device, or sending connectionless commands from a controller to more than one IoT devices, at the same time. One or more commands may be sent from a controller to one or more nodes that form a network, with the nodes relaying messages to each other via connectionless data packets. This may allow for connectionless command relay from the controller to any node within the network. By sending commands through connectionless data packets, one or more controllers may control one or more nodes at the same time. Furthermore, a single controller may directly send one or more commands to a group of nodes at the same time.

  • Patent number: 9885774
Abstract: An approach to localization in an indoor environment makes use of a multiple antenna receiver (e.g., in a smartphone, tablet, camera) and knowledge of locations of one or more radio transmitters, which may be part of a data communication infrastructure providing data communication services to devices in the environment. Successive measurements of transmissions from the transmitters are recorded at the receiver as the device is translated and rotated in the environment. Rotation related measurements are also made at the device. The radio frequency and rotation related measurements are used to infer the location and orientation, together referred to as the pose, of the device. Phase synchronization of the transmitters and the receiver are not required. In general, accuracy of the pose estimate far exceeds that achievable using radio frequency measurements without taking into consideration motion of the device, and far exceeds that achievable using the inertial measurements alone.
