  • Publication number: 20100285235
Abstract: The present invention provides a process for the preparation of nano structured silicon thin film using radio frequency (rf) plasma discharge useful for light emitting devices such as light emitting diode, laser etc. The present invention shows the possibility of precise control of the nanocrystal size of silicon and its uniform distribution without doping using plasma processing for obtaining efficient photoluminescence at room temperature. Process developed to deposit the photo luminescent nano structured silicon thin films using plasma enhanced chemical vapour deposition technique can find use in electroluminescence devices like light emitting diodes (LEDs), LASER etc. This could also be advantageous for integration of silicon photonic devices with the existing silicon microelectronic technology.

  • Publication number: 20100262560
Abstract: A web based method and system for assessing client portfolio is disclosed. Assessing client portfolio of the client comprises checking whether the client portfolio maps to the application needs of the client. An assessment model is generated to assess the client portfolio. Inputs regarding business domains and strategy of the client is received and based on the inputs the assessment model is generated. Thereafter assessment score of the client is calculated based on the client inputs and modifications for the assessment model. If the assessment score of the client is below a threshold limit, the client is prompted to update his or her client portfolio.

  • Publication number: 20100229166
Abstract: A system and method for update of firmware of a storage array controller of a storage device in a storage area network. The I/O workload of the storage device is monitored to obtain workload information regarding I/O traffic of the storage device. The workload information is analyzed to identify patterns in the I/O traffic of the storage device. Based on one or more identified patterns in the I/O traffic, future I/O workload of the storage device is forecasted, and, according to the forecasted future I/O workload, at least one firmware update is scheduled.

  • Patent number: 7774312
Abstract: A self-managing workload repository (AWR) infrastructure useful for a database server to collect and manage selected sets of important system performance statistics. Based on a schedule, the AWR runs automatically to collect data about the operation of the database system, and stores the data that it captures into the database. The AWR is advantageously designed to be lightweight and to self manage its use of storage space so as to avoid ending up with a repository of performance data that is larger than the database that it is capturing data about. The AWR is configured to automatically capture snapshots of statistics data on a periodic basis as well as purge stale data on a periodic basis. Both the frequency of the statistics data capture and length of time for which data is kept is adjustable. Manual snapshots and purging may also be performed. The AWR captured data allows for both system level and user level analysis to be automatically performed without unduly impacting system performance, e.g.

  • Patent number: 7711717
Abstract: Recurring appointment items in a calendaring application are synchronized and recorded in a backend Line Of Business (LOB) service. Items marked in the calendaring application for time recording are used to create a recurring bound item with extended properties. A sweeper module scans on every run the mailbox for such recurring bound items. Occurrences of bound recurring appointments, which occur between the last scan and the current scan, are determined and detached from the corresponding recurring series, such that standalone bound items, are created for such occurrences that can be recognized by an LOB application. Entries for bound items are retrieved from a client data store and synchronized it with the backend LOB service through a create, update, or delete operation request.

  • Patent number: 7676012
Abstract: A controllable delay clock buffer that provides spread spectrum modulation of the output signals with zero cycle slip includes a PLL having a PLL loop filter that comprises an RC network. A clock signal is input to the PLL, and a SS modulation frequency is injected into the capacitor of the PLL loop filter. The SS signal is provided by a secondary charge pump that produces a programmable waveform such as a square wave or a stair case square wave current signal. The programmable waveform is integrated by the loop filter capacitor to form a corresponding triangular or trigonal waveform which varies the input to the VCO of the PLL to define a frequency modulation profile that has a corresponding triangular or trigonal envelope. The bandpass profile of the SS modulation signal is at a higher frequency range than the lowpass profile of the PLL, so that the SS waveform profile is not distorted or cancelled by the PLL.

  • Publication number: 20100030757
Abstract: Query testing is enabled across one or more query languages utilizing an abstract representation of a query. From this abstract representation, queries associated with one or more specific query languages are generated. Further, a verification scheme can be implemented for a specific store and/or query language to facilitate generation of an expected result for comparison with an actual result of test query evaluation. Further yet, data driving and/or modeling can be leveraged to further aid query testing.

  • Patent number: 7602780
Abstract: A method and apparatus is described for identifying content in a packet. The method may obtain data sample from the packet where the data sample is in a predetermined window at an initial offset point in the packet. For each offset point, a first stage of processing on the data sample may be performed to identify if the data sample corresponds to potentially relevant reference string. A more focused second stage of processing may then be carried out on the data sample to identify if the data sample corresponds to potentially relevant reference string. Thereafter, an even more focused third stage of processing may be carried out on the data sample to obtain a third stage result. If the data sample passes all three stages of processing, a predefined action is identified which is associated with a reference string corresponding to the data sample.
