  • Publication number: 20250221849
Abstract: A therapeutic system comprises an ocular insert placed on a region outside an optical zone of an eye. The ocular insert comprises two structures: a first skeletal structure and a second cushioning structure. The first structure functions as a skeletal frame which maintains positioning of the implant along the anterior portion of the eye and provides support to the second, cushioning structure. This first structure maintains the attachment of the therapeutic system to the anterior portion of the eye for at least thirty days. In some embodiments the first structure remains a constant size and shape, e.g. a ring shape, a ring with haptics, or a curvilinear ring that is confined to and restrainingly engages the inferior and superior conjunctival fornices so as to retain the implant within the tear fluid and/or against the tissues of the eye.

  • Publication number: 20250213226
Abstract: A combined near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) and ultrasound imaging system acquires NIRS image data and ultrasound image data of the cranium and. using geometric information of the ultrasound transducer and the NIRS emitters and sensors, this information is reformatted and fused into a 3D dataset. Information from NIRS and ultrasound images that indicates relevant regions to be analyzed is extracted from the spatially related data. These regions can either be specific anatomical regions such as vessel structures identified in transcranial ultrasound or regions where the acquired data might indicate stroke. Detection algorithms for relevant regions can be based on neural networks and deep learning-based approaches.

  • Publication number: 20250213216
Abstract: An ultrasound system includes a processor circuit that receives an ultrasound image obtained according to a set of ultrasound system settings. The processor circuit determines a quality index representative of the visibility of an anatomical feature for the ultrasound image. In response to determining that the quality index does not meet or exceed a threshold quality index, the processor circuit may provide an output for a new set of ultrasound system settings corresponding to an improvement in quality index. The processor circuit then receives an additional ultrasound image corresponding to the new ultrasound system settings, determines an additional quality index for the additional ultrasound image, determines that the quality index exceeds the threshold quality index, and records the additional ultrasound image.

  • Publication number: 20250215923
Abstract: A dual-bearing assembly includes an annular cantilever beam spring positioned in-line and either internal or external to a pair of bearings. The spring includes first and second sets of N stand-offs evenly positioned around opposing top and bottom surfaces of a flat annular beam at 360/N degree intervals and angularly offset with respect to each other by 360/2N degrees such that each said stand-off is evenly spaced between adjacent pairs of stand-offs on the opposing surface. A pre-load mechanism is configured to apply opposing axial loads to the stand-offs to deflect the flat annular beam axially at each stand-off in opposing directions to induce a curvature to the annular beam and store energy in the beam to form load paths through the spring and rolling elements to pre-load the dual-bearing assembly.
