  • Publication number: 20240372802
Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing name-based routing through networks. In various embodiments, a broker manager in each of a plurality of networks may receive a subscription request for a network device from a client device, each device being locally accessible or disposed in an upstream or downstream network. The broker manager uses its client broker to communicate with a locally accessible client device, and uses its mediator broker (and, sometimes, an intermediate device(s)) to communicate with a locally accessible network device. The broker manager otherwise uses its messaging brokers to communicate with control channels of one or more networks. Once subscription with the network device has been established, any commands and responses between the client device and the network device may be routed over pub/sub channels via the broker managers and their brokers using name-based routing, without routing based on IP address of the network device.

  • Publication number: 20240359327
Abstract: A robot is operated to navigate an environment using cameras and map the type, size and location of objects. The system determines the type, size and location of objects and classifies the objects for association with specific containers. For each category of object with a corresponding container, the robot chooses a specific object to pick up in that category, performs path planning and navigates to objects of the category, to either organize or pick up the objects. Actuated pusher arms move other objects out of the way and manipulates the target object onto the front bucket to be carried.

  • Publication number: 20240349695
Abstract: An animal feeding device that dispenses food to a domesticated animal, such as a pet. Food is used to motivate the domesticated animal, such as a dog, to move to a target. A target, such as a pad positioned on the floor, is actuated by an activity of the domesticated animal. Upon actuation of the target a dispenser dispenses food. The domesticated animal learns that actuating the target will reward the domesticated animal by providing food to the domesticated animal. By dispensing a small amount of food, the domesticated animal will repeat the process several times over the course of a day, providing exercise to the domesticated animal. The use of multiple remote dispensers, with only one of the remote dispensers actuated, causes the domesticated animal to search for the dispenser that dispensed food, increasing the amount of exercise for the domesticated animal.
