  • Patent number: 10438164
Abstract: This disclosure describes interactive data processing systems configured to facilitate selection by a human associate of tentative results generated by an automated system from sensor data. In one implementation, an event may take place in a materials handling facility. The event may comprise a pick or place of an item from an inventory location, movement of a user, and so forth. The sensor data associated with the event is processed by an automated system to determine tentative results associated with the event. In some situations, an uncertainty may exist as to which of the tentative results accurately reflects the actual event. The system may then determine whether the event is to be merged with one or more temporally and spatially proximate events and, if so, the sensor data and tentative results for the merged event is sent to a human associate. The associate may select one of the tentative results.

  • Patent number: 10410224
Abstract: Technologies for determining, displaying, and leveraging reasons to buy for categories of items. Aspects (reasons to buy) may be predetermined for categories of items from a corpus of item information. For each item in a category, community-sourced content (e.g., customer reviews) may be identified for (aligned to) each aspect, and relevant comments may be extracted from the content. The comments may be analyzed, for example according to sentiment, to provide scoring and summary statistics for the aspects. Items may be ranked according to the summary statistics. The aspects for an item may be displayed, with extracted comments and/or summary statistics provided for each aspect. Items in a category or across categories may be compared according to the aspects. Aspects may be used in searches for items within categories to filter the items according to one or more of the aspects.

  • Publication number: 20190183470
Abstract: A surgical device includes a housing, a grasper assembly extending distally from the housing, a shaft extending distally from the housing, and a movable handle associated with the housing and operably coupled to the grasper assembly and the shaft. The grasper assembly includes first and second jaw members movable between an open position and a closed position. The shaft is movable relative to the grasper assembly between a retracted position and an extended position. The movable handle is associated with the housing and operably coupled to the grasper assembly and the shaft such that movement of the movable handle relative to the housing from an un-actuated position to an actuated position moves the first and second jaw members from the open position to the closed position, and moves the shaft from the retracted position to the extended position.

  • Publication number: 20190180442
Abstract: Novel systems and methods for airway segmentation are disclosed using confident airway volume, multi-scale topological and geometric leakage detection, exact leakage localization and correction, forbidden volume insertion and freezing, iterative shift in growing techniques starting with a conservative parameter/strategy and progressing toward generous ones, and a final pruning using machine learning, neural network, deep learning or artificial intelligence methods. The systems and methods are fully automated requiring no manual inputs or post-editing steps. The systems and methods use region growing-based segmentation to iteratively grow an airway tree starting with an initial seed, possibly inside the trachea, and a conservative segmentation parameter, e.g., a conservative threshold value for intensity-based region growing. The method then gradually progresses toward more generous values of the segmentation parameters until there is convergence.

  • Patent number: 10173204
Abstract: A method of preparing a metal-doped zeolite catalyst with a modified topology (e.g. a pillared zeolite or a delaminated zeolite), and a method of using thereof in a process for converting an alkyl-aromatic hydrocarbon stream to BTX (benzene/toluene/xylene), wherein an enhanced pore topology in the metal-doped zeolite catalyst determines a selectivity to transalkylation of trimethylbenzene to xylene, which in turn leads to a higher xylene yield. Various embodiments of the method of preparing the metal-doped zeolite catalyst, and the process for converting the alkyl-aromatic hydrocarbon stream to BTX are also provided.
