  • Publication number: 20070062816
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of electroplating a printed circuit board using a magnetic field having periodic directionality, in which the printed circuit board is electroplated using a magnetic field that is generated substantially perpendicular to a current direction and that has periodic directionality between a forward wave and a reverse wave. According to the method of the present invention, since the magnetic field having the periodic directionality is used, the aging of the plating solution may be prevented and the ionic concentration thereof may be made uniform even without the use of an external liquid flow device, and as well, the substrate may be uniformly plated.

  • Publication number: 20060219671
Abstract: A thermal management system is provided to control the preheating and cool down of a removable build chamber in a laser sintering system. A thermal management station controls preheating of a removable build chamber to heat the chamber to a temperature at or near the operating temperature of the laser sintering system. After insertion into the laser sintering system and completion of a build the thermal management station controls the cool down of the part cake within the removable build chamber after the chamber has been removed from the laser sintering system.

  • Publication number: 20060210253
Abstract: A recording medium includes a program containing video data and/or audio data and navigation information which defines a thumbnail, wherein the thumbnail relates to the program and is reproduceable as moving pictures. The recording medium may include a plurality of programs and the thumbnail may identify or represent one or more of the programs. By assigning a predetermined interval of a bit stream corresponding to a program as a thumbnail, the recording medium having the thumbnail thereon, that can be reproduced as moving pictures, can be obtained.

  • Publication number: 20060190625
Abstract: A video encoding method, a video encoder, and a Personal Video Recorder (PVR) are disclosed. The PVR includes: a first video decoder for decoding an input MPEG-2 video signal, calculating reference picture information of the MPEG-2 video signal and a motion vector of a reference picture, and outputting the calculated result; a first video encoder for encoding the decoded MPEG-2 video signal into a H.264 video signal using the motion vector and the reference picture information generated from the first video decoder; and a storage unit for storing the H.264 video signal generated from the first video encoder. Therefore, the PVR can effectively transcode the MPEG-2 format image into the H.264 format image, can display a desired image or video signal without deterioration of an image quality, and can quickly transform a compression format of the image into another format.

  • Publication number: 20060118532
Abstract: The invention is a method for controllably cooling at least a portion of a part-cake from a laser sintering system to minimize cool down time, maximize throughput, and minimize thermal gradients within the part-cake. The method generally comprises forming one or more thermal transfer channels within the part-cake. The thermal transfer channels can include ducts and cooling fins in the part-cake surrounding the formed part. The method can further comprise removing unfused powder from the ducts and introducing cooling media into the ducts. The invention also includes a part-cake having thermal transfer channels formed therein and a laser sintering apparatus comprising a part-cake containing cylinder having permanent fittings therein for receiving terminal portions of thermal transfer channels formed in the part-cake.

  • Publication number: 20050263934
Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming three dimensional objects by laser sintering that includes depositing the required quantities of powder for two successive layers on one side of the process chamber and simultaneously spreading the first layer while transporting the second layer quantity to the opposite side of the process chamber. The invention includes steps of parking the quantities of powder in sight of the part bed heater to pre-heat the powder and flattening the powder wave before the pre-heating step to improve pre-heat efficiency. This method and apparatus can result in reduction of the mechanisms, size, cost, and increase productivity of a laser-sintering device.

  • Publication number: 20050263933
Abstract: An apparatus and a method of using the apparatus to deliver metered quantities of powder to a target area in a laser sintering process from a single sided bi-directional powder delivery system to ensure fresh powder is preheated prior to fusing the powder with a laser beam. Metered quantities of powder are deposited for preheating adjacent the target area and then are spread by a mechanism that traverses the target area.

  • Publication number: 20050195902
Abstract: A video decoding system is provided. When a DDR SDRAM is used as an external memory, MBs are rearranged and then stored to minimize memory access operations for the MBs at the DDR SDRAM and unnecessary additional word read operations caused by a DDR characteristic. Accordingly, the video decoding system can efficiently perform a memory access operation on MBs for video display and frame decoding by the video decoder. Specifically, the decoding system can reduce the total video decoding time, thereby allowing a surplus memory use time for additional functions of a digital broadcasting receiver.

  • Publication number: 20050163226
Abstract: The present invention provides a video buffer control apparatus for dual video decoding and digital broadcasting receiver. In the present invention, one read block controls the reading of at least two video buffers in performing video decoding on at least two channels, whereby the video buffers can be efficiently controlled and whereby the hardware size of the video buffer control apparatus can be reduced. Moreover, the present invention can simultaneously decode both of the digital broadcasting and a video clip or MPEG still picture having a data format inputted via path different from that of the digital broadcasting.

  • Publication number: 20050117513
Abstract: Provided is a flow generation method for Internet traffic measurement. In the flow generation method, dependency between packet collecting time and flow generating time is removed using a virtual timer and a flow generation completion processing interval is controlled to skip by a unit time in response to a user's request. Also, a fragmented packet processing method is selectively used at need and a FIN timeout is applied selectively to a timeout mechanism used in flow generation completion. Thereby, this invention can improve accuracy and efficiency of Internet traffic measurement.
