  • Patent number: 7056096
Abstract: The invention provides a pump with high driving efficiency in which the number of mechanical switching valves is decreased to reduce pressure loss and increase reliability, and which is ready for high load pressure and high-frequency driving, and which increases the discharged fluid volume for one cycle of pumping. A circular diaphragm arranged on the bottom of a casing has the outer edge fixed to the casing. The diaphragm includes a piezoelectric element to move the diaphragm on the bottom surface thereof. The space between the diaphragm and the top wall of the casing serves as a pump chamber, wherein a suction channel and a discharge channel are opened to the pump chamber, the suction channel having a check valve serving as a fluid resistive element and the discharge channel being always communicated with the pump chamber, even during the operation of the pump.

  • Publication number: 20060117120
Abstract: When a controller to be connected to a sender of stream data via an IEEE 1394 serial bus cannot decode stream data to be sent from the sender, the controller searches out a device having a data conversion function from a first type of stream data sent from the sender into a second type of stream data which the controller can decode (such device being hereafter referred to simply as “data conversion device”) among the devices on the bus. Thereafter the controller establishes point-to-point connection between the data conversion device and the sender as well as between the data conversion device and the controller, and makes the data conversion device convert the first type of stream data into the second type of stream data.

  • Publication number: 20060116240
Abstract: An automatic transmission controller has an electronic control circuit, an electromagnetic valve, and a pressure control valve. The electronic control circuit generates a control current. The electromagnetic valve regulates a command pressure in accordance with the control current. The pressure control valve has a spool and is formed with a spool hole. The spool reciprocates in the spool hole in accordance with the command pressure to regulate a pressure supplied to a friction element of an automatic transmission. In a standby state, when the friction element is in a disengaged state, the electronic control circuit generates an oscillating current as the control current so that the electromagnetic valve generates a standby command pressure that makes the spool reciprocate in a range in which no pressure is supplied to the friction element.

  • Publication number: 20060117353
Abstract: If a channel determined by a new all-directional omni-directional scanning process is absent in a channel information table created previously, a TV broadcast receiver registers a channel number (by making register flag on) and a best receiving direction of such channel in the table. If such channel is present along with a best receiving direction in the table, the receiver renews (overwrites) the best receiving direction present in the table by a best receiving direction acquired by the new scanning process. Channels already registered in the table and determined by the new scanning process as non-selectable are not deleted and are retained in the table. Thus, the receiver prevents those channels previously determined as selectable from being handled as non-selectable by the new scanning process, and a user can select maximum channels normally viewable at each receiving location.

  • Publication number: 20060114353
Abstract: A television broadcast receiver determines the signal strength, the desired to undesired (D/U) ratio, the carrier to noise (C/N) ratio of a received television signal. Based on these values, the television broadcast receiver determines an overall evaluation value indicating the condition of reception of the television signal by reading a receiving condition evaluation table and determines a message explaining the condition of reception of the television signal by reading a message table. Then, the television broadcast receiver presents to a user the determined overall evaluation value and message along with the signal strength, the D/U ratio, and the C/N ratio. Accordingly, the user can easily make a judgment on whether the receiving condition is good or not based on the overall evaluation value.

  • Publication number: 20060108526
Abstract: Conventionally, there is no method for quantitatively evaluating the three-dimensional shape of an etched pattern in a non-destructive manner and it takes much time and costs to determine etching conditions. With the conventional length measuring method only, it has been impossible to detect an abnormality in the three-dimensional shape and also difficult to control the etching process. According to the present invention, variations in signal amounts of an SEM image are utilized to compute three-dimensional shape data on the pattern associated with the etching process steps, whereby the three-dimensional shape is quantitatively evaluated. Besides, determination of etching process conditions and process control are performed based on the three-dimensional shape data obtained. The present invention makes it is possible to quantitatively evaluate the three-dimensional shape of the etched pattern in a non-destructive manner.
