  • Publication number: 20010030118
Abstract: A circuit breaker includes an opening and closing mechanism section with an opening and closing lever, and an alarm-outputting plate operating in response to a tripping operation. A case for the circuit breaker has a plurality of switch housing sections formed on a top side thereof, in which are installed an auxiliary switch for detecting an ON/OFF state of a main circuit contact and/or an alarm switch for detecting a tripping operation. The opening and closing lever and the alarm-outputting plate have outputting projecting pieces, respectively, laterally spaced apart from each other corresponding to the respective housing sections, for transmitting mechanical output signals to the switches. When the auxiliary and alarm switches are installed, the auxiliary switch is linked to the outputting projecting piece of the opening and closing lever, while the alarm switch is linked to the outputting projecting piece of the alarm-outputting plate.

  • Patent number: 6302509
Abstract: In an ink-jet apparatus for forming images through use of an ink-jet head provided with a plurality of ink ejection heaters with respect to only one ejection orifice, an accurate estimation of temperature of the ink-jet head is made possible by controlling ink-ejection amount in a step-by-step manner. For this purpose, there is provided a device for counting frequency of use of the plurality of heaters within a predetermined period of time independently for each combination of the heaters for ejecting different amount of ink (in steps S1002, S1003), and a combining device for adding a correction value to each of the thus counted value on the basis of the heater driving condition, and converting the total value into the energy applied within a predetermined period (in steps S1008, S1004 and S1005). The estimation of temperature is performed by use of the thus obtained energy.

  • Patent number: 6302645
Abstract: In a fluid machine such as multistage centrifugal compressor, the pressure of a working fluid is raised with the rotation of a impeller. A shaft sealing device is mounted at the end of the rotary shaft in order to prevent the working gas of the raised pressure from leaking out of the fluid machine and then polluting the surroundings. In a case where the fluid machine operates to rotate at high speed, a labyrinth sealing device is employed for the purpose of reducing a frictional loss in the shaft sealing device. The labyrinth sealing device includes a plurality of stages of labyrinth fins which are formed on a casing or the rotary shaft, and a layer of abradable coating to-be-bitten which is formed in the surface part of the rotary shaft or the casing opposing to the labyrinth fins. The clearances between the labyrinth fins and the rotary shaft or the casing are made narrower on the low-pressure side of the labyrinth sealing device than on the high-pressure side thereof.

  • Patent number: 6301982
Abstract: A housed gyro-sensor 31 is housed in a rotation plate 33. The gyro-sensor 31 is mounted so that a rotation operation is enabled in a pitch axis direction about an axis in a mounting hole 24 formed on a housing of an inner face of the car navigation system 21. In this way, as shown in FIG. 8, even when the main body of the car navigation system 21 is not housed horizontally with respect to the vehicle, it is possible to regulate the mounting angle of the housed gyro sensor 31 in a horizontal direction by rotating the rotation plate 33. In order to realize how many times the rotation plate 33 needs to be rotated, standards for angle settings may be provided by directly printing the name of the vehicle type on an outer face of the rotation plate 33 or by printing the major angles.
