  • Publication number: 20040141079
Abstract: A solid-state imaging device includes: an imaging region in which a plurality of pixels are arranged; and a signal line through which a signal of the imaging region is read out. An adding circuit for adding pixel signals obtained from two or more of the pixels is provided so that an output signal of the adding circuit is read out to the signal line. On the basis of a predetermined reference quantity of light incident onto the imaging region, a gain of the adding circuit in a condition in which a quantity of the incident light is above the reference quantity is controlled to be smaller than a gain of the adding circuit in a condition in which a quantity of the incident light is below the reference quantity. High sensitivity can be obtained with an adding circuit, and saturation of the adding circuit in large quantity of light can be suppressed, obtaining a wide dynamic range.

  • Publication number: 20030033034
Abstract: Transfer of liquid crystal panels to next processes is carried out with the panels placed on transfer arms (6) and held by suction pads (12). A small suction force can be sufficient, and a suction irregularity is prevented. Transfer arms are arranged at the lower side of liquid crystal panels, thus not obstructing the liquid crystal panels. In arranging the liquid crystal panels to an image pickup device (111), a panel hold device (112) is controlled to drive to position panel marks to a bonding height position with negating a deflection amount of the liquid crystal panels, and furthermore a component hold device is controlled to drive to position component marks to the bonding height position and to mount electronic components to the liquid crystal panels at the bonding height position. Thus, an accuracy for mounting electronic components can be improved in comparison with the conventional art.

  • Patent number: 6351594
Abstract: The present invention relates to a linear beam irradiator, more specifically to a linear beam irradiator for using light conductor, comprising a light conductor having light permeability, a light refraction & reflection area 2 provided on one side face in the longitudinal direction of said light conductor, and a light source 8 provided in a way to cover the light refraction & reflection area 2, as well as a light source disposed at one end or both ends of said light conductor. This construction makes it possible to irradiate a linear light beam from the other side face of the light conductor corresponding to said light refraction & reflection area 2. With this construction, it becomes possible to reduce the deviation of illuminance of said linear light beam, sharply improve the transmission efficiency of light and greatly reduce the number of LED chips disposed at the light source. Moreover, this also enables a cost reduction.

  • Patent number: 6266499
Abstract: In a transfer method of this invention, a paper powder-removing device having a pair of an insulating roller and an electrically conducting roller is provided on a transfer paper conveyer passage, and a transfer paper is passed through between a pair of the above rollers prior to being fed to a transfer zone (between a transfer roller and a photosensitive material drum). The transfer paper is passed through the pair of rollers in a state where the electrically conducting roller is maintained at a potential of a polarity same as, or opposite to, that of the transfer roller depending upon the position of the electrically conducting roller (position on a side of the transfer surface of the transfer paper or position on a side opposite to the transfer surface) in the paper powder-removing device, in order to reliably remove the paper powder from the transfer paper and to effectively prevent the adhesion of the paper powder on the surface of the photosensitive material drum.

  • Patent number: 6205314
Abstract: A developing roller and a developing device are provided to enable a satisfactory developing operation. In order to accomplish this object, a roller main body of the developing roller is made of a roller base material containing acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber as a main component, and an adherence preventing coating layer is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the roller main body, thereby preventing the adherence of developer to the roller main body. Particularly, by setting the friction coefficient of the coating layer within a range of 0.5 to 0.95 inclusive and/or the glossiness thereof within a range of 4.5 to 8 inclusive, an occurrence of any of negative ghost, positive ghost and background fogging is prevented or suppressed to a level where no problem is presented in practical use.

  • Patent number: 5462626
Abstract: A bonding method of for external leads which includes the steps of registering the external leads of an IC component with electrodes of a circuit substrate, setting an external lead retaining surface of a bonding tool on a flat outer tab obtained by coating plural outer end parts of the external leads of the registered IC component with resin, and bringing the external leads in touch with the corresponding electrodes. A laster beam irradiates one of the external leads registered on one of the electrodes to thereby bond them, and cooling gas is jetted on a bonding part of the external lead to cool a bonding part of the external lead and the electrode. During the irradiating step, the one of the external leads registered on one of the corresponding electrodes can be pressed against the electrode to bond the bonding part of the electrode and the external lead.

  • Patent number: 5266828
Abstract: This invention relates to an image sensor with photo sensors (13). An object thereof is to simplify mounting operation of an image sensor chip (12) provided with the photo sensors (13). In order to accomplish this object, according to this invention, the photo sensors (13) and electrodes (15) are disposed on the underside of the image sensor chip (12). The image sensor chip (12) is bonded to the upper side of a transparent substrate (18) by means of a transparent photo-setting type insulating resin (16), so that the electrodes (15) come into contact with circuit conductor layers (17) disposed on the upper side of the transparent substrate (18). With the above-mentioned construction, since fine metal wire (75) by which the electrodes (15) and the circuit conductor layers (17) are connected to each other is not required, mounting operation can be simplified.

  • Patent number: 4845567
Abstract: An self-scan type linear image sensor comprises an array of a plurality of phototransistors or photodiodes, a shift register, and current switches operating in response to parallel output signals from the shift register. The shift register is comprised of thyristors and interstage coupling transistors cascade-connecting the thyristors. The current switches are comprised of a first differential current switch executing differential switching operations between parallel output signals from odd-number stages of the shift register and a first separation signal, and a second differential current switch executing differential switching operations between parallel output signals from even-number stages of the shift register and a second separation signal. Current outputs from these current switches are delivered to collectors of the phototransistors, which are connected at emitters, common to an image signal output line.

  • Patent number: 4811699
Abstract: A speed reduction device for transmitting the rotation of a drive shaft to a driven shaft in a speed reducing manner. An eccentric cam is securely mounted on the drive shaft and has a central axis eccentrically offset from a central axis of the drive shaft, and the driven shaft is rotatably mounted in eccentrically offset relation from the drive shaft by an eccentricity equal to that of the eccentric cam. The driven shaft includes a pair of opposed surface portions which are adapted to rotate in a normally clamping and circumscribing relation with respect to the eccentric cam. When the speed reduction device is used in an intake and exhaust valve timing and actuating device of an internal combustion engine, a crank shaft serves as the drive shaft, while a follower cam associated with intake and exhaust valves serves as the driven shaft.
