    Abstract: A template matching is performed on two fluoroscopic images by using a template image prepared in advance and a position corresponding to a high matching score is listed as a candidate for the position of a marker 29. From two lists of the candidates of the position of the marker 29, the lengths of common vertical lines for all combinations are calculated. Then, the position of the marker 29 is detected based on the matching score and the common vertical line. Then, based on the detected position of the marker 29, an amount of a proton beam to be irradiated to a target is controlled. Therefore, a tracking target can be accurately detected even when the conditions for X-ray fluoroscopy is severe, e.g., a thick object.

The processor may be programmed to determine a cooling or heating demand on the HVAC system based on an input temperature and the first measured temperature. The processor may be further programmed to adjust an air flow rate produced by the blower based on the demand on the HVAC system and the zoning mode selection.

    Abstract: There is provided a silver powder which has a small average particle diameter and a small thermal shrinkage percentage, and a method for producing the same. While a molten metal of silver heated to a temperature (1292 to 1692° C.), which is higher than the melting point (962° C.) of silver by 330 to 730° C., is allowed to drop, a high-pressure water is sprayed onto the molten metal of silver (preferably at a water pressure of 90 to 160 MPa) to rapidly cool and solidify the molten metal of silver to powderize silver to produce a silver powder which has an average particle diameter of 1 to 6 ?m and a shrinkage percentage of not greater than 8% (preferably not greater than 7%) at 500° C., the product of the average particle diameter by the shrinkage percentage at 500° C. being 1 to 11 ?m·% (preferably 1.5 to 10.5 ?m·%).

    Abstract: A plurality of flash lamps are disposed on an upper side of a chamber housing a semiconductor wafer and a plurality of LED lamps are disposed on a lower side thereof. A surface of a semiconductor wafer preheated by light irradiation from a plurality of LED lamps is irradiated with a flash of light from a flash lamp. The LED lamps emit light having a wavelength of 900 nm or less. The light radiated from the LED lamps passes through a quartz lower chamber window, and then emitted to the semiconductor wafer. The light with the wavelength of 900 nm or less radiated from the LED lamps is also favorably absorbed by the semiconductor wafer in a low temperature range of 500° C. or less, and is hardly absorbed by the quartz lower chamber window. Thus, the semiconductor wafer can be efficiently heated by the LED lamps.

    Abstract: A gate insulator film made of silicon dioxide or gallium oxide is formed on a gallium nitride (GaN) substrate. The GaN substrate is preheated by irradiation with light from halogen lamps, and the surface of the substrate including the gate insulator film is heated to a high temperature for an extremely short time by irradiation with a flash of light from flash lamps. Heating the substrate surface including the gate insulator film in an extremely short heat treatment time prevents the desorption of nitrogen from GaN and makes it possible to reduce the traps existing at the interface between the gate insulator film and GaN without diffusing gallium into the gate insulator film.
