    Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes an image processing part that creates bitmap data based on print data input from outside, a density correction part that performs pre-determined density correction such that a density of a print image, which is formed on a print medium, is maintained within a regulated range, and a determination part that determines whether or not it is necessary to re-create the bitmap data based on the print data according to a comparison result between a first density value which is created at a timing when the bitmap data is created and a second density value which is created at a timing when the density correction is performed by the density correction part. Wherein the image processing part re-creates the bitmap data based on the print data when the determination part determines that it is necessary to re-create the bitmap data, and does not re-create the bitmap data when the determination part determines that it is not necessary to re-create the bitmap data.

    Abstract: A substrate on which a processing film made of a directed self-assembly material is formed is placed on a holding plate incorporating a preheating mechanism, and is preheated. A low oxygen atmosphere surrounds the substrate. A preheating temperature is a temperature at which the directed self-assembly material comprised of two types of polymers is phase-separated. By preheating the processing film, the two types of polymers are phase-separated to form a fine pattern. The processing film is irradiated with flashes of light from flash lamps while being preheated. This increases the fluidity of the polymers constituting the processing film to achieve the formation of a fine pattern while suppressing the occurrence of defects.

    Abstract: A semiconductor wafer held by a holder within a chamber is irradiated and heated with halogen light emitted from multiple halogen lamps. Cylindrical outer and inner louvers made of opaque quartz are provided between the halogen lamps and the semiconductor wafer. A reflector is provided in an area of tube walls of the halogen lamps that faces the spacing between the inner wall surface of the outer louver and the outer wall surface of the inner louver. The spacing between the two louvers is located immediately below and faces the peripheral portion of the semiconductor wafer. Thus, the illuminance of light that reaches the peripheral portion of the semiconductor wafer where a temperature drop is likely to occur will be higher than the illuminance of light that travels toward the central portion from the halogen lamps. This configuration will help make uniform the in-plane temperature distribution of the semiconductor wafer.

    Abstract: A template matching is performed on two fluoroscopic images by using a template image prepared in advance and a position corresponding to a high matching score is listed as a candidate for the position of a marker 29. From two lists of the candidates of the position of the marker 29, the lengths of common vertical lines for all combinations are calculated. Then, the position of the marker 29 is detected based on the matching score and the common vertical line. Then, based on the detected position of the marker 29, an amount of a proton beam to be irradiated to a target is controlled. Therefore, a tracking target can be accurately detected even when the conditions for X-ray fluoroscopy is severe, e.g., a thick object.
