  • Publication number: 20070114526
Abstract: Light-emitting devices capable of preventing separation or alteration of a first electrode to obtain high performance, methods of manufacturing the light-emitting device, and display units are provided. A first electrode as an anode, an insulating film, an organic layer including a light-emitting layer, and a second electrode as a cathode are laminated in this order on a substrate with a planarizing layer as a base layer in between. The first electrode has a structure in which an adhesive layer, a reflective layer and a barrier layer is laminated in this order from the substrate. Alteration of the reflective layer can be prevented by the barrier layer, and the reflective layer can be prevented from being separated from the planarizing layer by the adhesive layer. The first electrode is formed through forming the adhesive layer, the reflective layer and the barrier layer on the planarizing layer, and then patterning them in order from the barrier layer.

  • Publication number: 20070080356
Abstract: A display device and a method for manufacturing the display device are provided. The display device includes an organic layer on an auxiliary wiring is removed with high precision by one operation and, thereby, the yield and the productivity are improved. A lower electrode is formed by patterning in each pixel on a substrate. An auxiliary wiring including a light absorption layer is formed between individual pixels. An organic layer is formed on the substrate while covering the lower electrodes. Laser irradiation is conducted from the organic layer side, the laser light is converted to heat in the light absorption layer exposed at a portion under the organic layer, and the organic layer portion above the light absorption layer is removed selectively. An upper electrode is formed on the organic layer and is connected to the light absorption layer portion of the auxiliary wiring.

  • Patent number: 6991878
Abstract: A photomask repair method including scanning an electron beam across a main surface of the photomask, thereby producing a pattern image of the photomask, identifying the position of a defective portion from the pattern image thus produced, and applying an electron beam to a region to be etched including a defective portion under an atmosphere of a gas capable of performing a chemical etching of a film material forming the photomask pattern, thereby removing a defect. In this method, the electron beam to be applied to the region to be etched is a shaped beam. The electron beam is set such that the side of the electron beam is applied in parallel to a borderline between a non-defective pattern and the defect.
