  • Publication number: 20080007961
Abstract: A vehicular headlamp including a light amount control device that controls the amount of light from at least two of a plurality of light source units each having a light-emitting element as the light source. The light amount control device performs a contrasting control of the lamp to increase the amount of light from at least one of the light source units and decrease the amount of light from the other light source unit, thus enhancing the visibility by increasing the amount of light from one light source unit and enhancing the brightness in an area that the unit illuminates, and decreasing the amount of light from the other light source unit that illuminates an area where visibility is required less, lowering the power consumption.

  • Patent number: 7234849
Abstract: A vehicle lighting apparatus can help improve irradiation for different speeds of an automobile. The vehicle lighting apparatus includes lamps for installation at front portions of an automobile. An irradiation direction of the lamps can be deflected in left and right directions based on a steering operation of a steering apparatus, and a rate of change of a deflection angle of the lamps with respect to the steering angle is made smaller as the vehicle speed increases to a high speed.

  • Publication number: 20060180989
Abstract: A sheet transport guide includes a torsion coil spring (X). The spring (X) has a first arm (B4) with an end (B5). Through the end (B5), the spring (X) supports a rotation shaft of driven roller (R32) and applies elastic force to the roller (R32). Through the arm (B4) that is curved, the spring (X) guides a sheet toward a rotation roller R31. The spring (X) has a coil portion (B1) and an end (B3) of a second arm (B3) both fixed to a frame of an apparatus body. A plurality of driven rollers (R32) are aligned approximately parallel to a shaft (R31a) of the roller (R31). The rollers (R32) are each provided with the springs (X). A largest elastic force is applied to the roller (R32) at a predetermined reference position, and smaller elastic forces are applied to the other rollers (R32) at positions distant from the reference position.

  • Patent number: 7058336
Abstract: When handle region(s) of disengaging lever(s) is/are pulled in direction(s) tending to cause disengagement of engagement between access-controlling body or bodies and main body housing(s), respective action edge(s) of rotating region(s) may rotate about shaft(s) in direction(s) tending to cause disengagement of engagement. Upon rotating in direction(s) tending to cause disengagement of engagement, respective action edge(s) of rotating region(s) may press on and impel support plate(s) of main body housing(s). In accompaniment thereto, disengaging lever(s) may move upward, and respective downwardly directed engagement projection(s) of access-controlling body or bodies may be lifted up and extricated from respective upwardly directed engagement projection(s) of main body housing(s).

  • Patent number: 6561444
Abstract: A driving and controlling system for driving a shredding mechanism by a motor to shred paper sheets increases shredding capacity represented by the number of paper sheets that can be simultaneously shredded while limiting input current in an allowable range and reduces time necessary for shredding a predetermined number of paper sheets. The driving and controlling system comprises a motor (4) for driving a shredding mechanism (5) for shredding paper sheets (10), and a controller (1) interposed between the motor and a commercial power supply system (13) to control power to be supplied to the motor. The motor has a characteristic to reduce motor torque substantially linearly with the increase of operating speed for voltage applied thereto as a parameter.
