  • Patent number: 6414932
Abstract: An information recording/reproducing apparatus which can record and reproduce information data into and from various kinds of recording mediums has a laser driver which enables recording strategy control for each kind of recording medium. The laser driver receives an NRZ binary signal and a clock signal synchronized with the NRZ binary signal from a modulation circuit, and generates a recording current signal corresponding to the NRZ binary signal. The laser driver includes a PLL circuit disposed in the laser driver which oscillates at a recording frequency, and an unlock detection circuit which detects an oscillating condition of the PLL circuit and outputs a detection signal indicative of the oscillating condition of the PLL. A recording operation of the information recording/reproducing apparatus is controlled based on the detection signal outputted from the unlock detection circuit.

  • Patent number: 6321052
Abstract: An image-forming apparatus adjusts the running state of a belt by displacing one of the rolls supporting an endless belt, wherein the roll is displaced to prevent the belt from being twisted by a change in the tension of the endless belt that stems from the operation for displacing the roll. When the image-forming apparatus is provided with a belt running adjusting mechanism 20 which adjusts the running state of the endless belt 21 by displacing one (drive roll 22) of plural rolls supporting the belt 21 in the adjusting directions J, K, there is provided a tension correction mechanism 60 which corrects a change in the tension of the endless belt 21 that is caused by the operation of the belt running adjusting mechanism 20 for displacing the roll 22, by displacing, in the correction directions L, M, a contact member (tension roll 25) which is in contact with the belt 21 along the direction of width thereof.

  • Publication number: 20010032370
Abstract: The invention relates to a wiper blade that secures a proper error angle, wherein the wiper blade is comprised of a rubber blade and a resilient member composed of a plate spring to which a twisting feature is applied. A posture-correcting portion applies a twisting feature to the resilient member so that the full length of the resilient member and rubber blade can be curved in a spiral direction. By twisting, the resilient member approaches its natural state, and both the tip and base end portions of the rubber blade's lip portion in the lengthwise direction are adjusted in directions opposed to each other, thereby correcting the posture thereof.

  • Patent number: 6163921
Abstract: The wiper system with translational motion is additionally capable of moving the wiper arm in angular motion at an auto stop position so that the wiper blade may be stowed away from the view of the vehicle operator when the wiper system is not in use. The retracted position may be defined immediately below the lower edge of the windshield. When a mist switch is turned on so as to effect a quick wiping action, the wiper arm can angularly move from the retracted position to the upright position. When the wiper arm is already in the translational motion, turning on of the mist switch may increase the speed of the translational motion. To prevent the wiper blade from obstructing the view of the vehicle operator in an intermittent mode, the position of the temporary stop of the wiper blade may be selected at the reversing position which is remote from the vehicle operator.

  • Patent number: 6087795
Abstract: The wiper control method is capable of preventing damages on a wiper due to erroneous operation of the wiper when a vehicle is subjected to a car washer with its wiper operation kept in an "AUTO" mode, and the wiper automatically operates without troubles while driving. The wiper control method is used for an automatic wiper system which automatically controls wiper operation of a vehicle by sensing the climate condition by a rain drop sensor 7, and the state of a door mirror of the vehicle is detected by a mirror folding detection switch 5. When the door mirror is folded, wiper operation control performed by the automatic wiper system is stopped so that the wiper is not operated even if the rain drop sensor 7 detects a rain drop.

  • Patent number: 6011416
Abstract: A microcomputer 4 responds to an instruction signal to turn the load L on or off to control the FET 2 through the drive circuit 5. The microcomputer 4 samples an electric current I.sub.L which is supplied through the A/D converter 6 and which flows in the load L at every predetermined sampling time T.sub.S and subjects the sampled electric current I.sub.L to a comparison with a known rated current value I.sub.R for the load L. When I.sub.L .gtoreq.I.sub.R is satisfied, the microcomputer 4 starts counting energizing time T. When the accumulated value of I.sub.L .times.T.sub.S is enlarged to a predetermined value S.sub.O, the microcomputer 4 turns the FET 2 off. When the detected electric current I.sub.L is larger than an upper limit I.sub.O (>I.sub.R) determined previously, the microcomputer 4 immediately turns the FET 2 off through the drive circuit 5.

  • Patent number: 5894652
Abstract: An opposed wiping type wiper unit for use with one of right-hand and left-hand specifications has a crank arm that rotates when driven by a motor, an intermediate link connected to right-hand and left-hand wiper shafts through driving rods, and a connecting rod that connects the crank arm and the intermediate link. The length of the connecting rod and the connecting position thereof to the intermediate link are set so that the actual angular acceleration change of the intermediate link is substantially symmetrical. The angular velocity changes of right-hand and left-hand wiper arms are made asymmetrical on the basis of the length of the driving rods and the connecting positions thereof to the intermediate link. Only the lengths of the driving rods and their connecting positions to the intermediate link need to be varied.

  • Patent number: 5751689
Abstract: An information recording and reproducing method and apparatus with increased recording density of an information recording medium using the sample servo method driven with a fixed angular velocity from the innermost circumference to the outmost circumference. A disk-shaped recording medium is concentrically divided into a plurality of areas. Recording is performed with a recording density suited for the radial position of each of the areas. The width of the areas is set so that the recording capacity of a user data section sandwiched between servo sections forming a segment may increase with every transition to an outer adjacent area while taking one byte as a unit. The recording and reproducing apparatus has a clock generating circuit for servo data extraction and a clock generating circuit for user data extraction. The latter clock generating circuit is synchronized by a synchronizing pulse generated by the former clock generating circuit.

  • Patent number: 5651159
Abstract: A structure for mounting a wind receiving member on a wiper device is provided. An extending section extends from the extreme end side of a wiper arm beyond where a connector member is rotatably supported. Mounting holes are defined in the extending section and in the wiper arm in its base end side opposite the connector member. Mounting pieces of a wind receiving member are fixed by rivets through the mounting holes. The wind receiving member is mounted at the extreme end of the wiper arm by the use of the extending section. With this arrangement, the wind receiving member prevents the floating-up of a wiper blade when a vehicle travels at a high speed.

  • Patent number: 5619886
Abstract: An operable angle adjusting structure for a wiper produces a maximally wide wiping angle is realized within the range where wiper arms will not interfere with window pillars and each other and will not require a precision machining apparatus. A drive link includes a ball joint disposed in one end portion, and the ball joint is integrally mounted to one surface of an adjusting member such that the center axis of the ball joint is eccentric with respect to the center of a screw hole by a specified distance. The adjusting member is turned to change the axis-to-axis distance between a wiper drive shaft and the ball joint for proper adjustment.

  • Patent number: 5586108
Abstract: Reliability of data is improved by increasing the length of burst error correction of recorded data. Instead of the conventional error correcting codes produced in a sector, error correcting code interleaved among sectors is generated. Otherwise, double codes are formed by decreasing parity number of the conventional error correcting codes produced in the sector and adding error correcting code interleaved among the sectors instead. The length of burst error correction of recorded data is increased by interleaving error correction code among the sectors. Further, the efficiency of use of disk can be improved since parity sector is not used and, in addition to this, the speed of processing can be improved since there is no need to read out unnecessary sectors during correction.
