  • Patent number: 5668432
Abstract: A moving member 2 is rotatably and slidably arranged in a holder 11 having a spherical inner surface 11a. An inertia body 5 is connected to the moving member 2 via a supporting member 4. At a location opposite the inertia body 5, an arm 3 extends so that it is directed outwardly via an opening of the holder. A piezo electric actuator 63 is arranged between the rotating member 2 and the supporting member 4. An elongation of the actuator causes a relative swing movement between the inertia body 5 and moving member to occur in one direction such that a reaction force in the moving member 2 due to the inertia of the inertia body 5 exceeds the frictional force between the moving member 4 and the holder 11, which allows the moving member 4 to be displaced with respect to the holder 11.

  • Patent number: 5408607
Abstract: An information transfer system in which an information transfer control arrangement including information transfer control and reference information storage is provided in a system having at least three subsystems communicating with each other using transfer information which contains an information unit common to all information handled by the subsystems. The information transfer control refers to information in the reference information storage, and rearranges the information arrangement from the transferer subsystem to an information arrangement suitable for the transferee subsystem, if necessary, followed by transferring it. The subsystem can be changed easily by adding, deleting or correcting the reference information in the reference information storage. The configuration of the transfer control system is therefore flexible.

  • Patent number: 5230628
Abstract: An apparatus produces an operational manual of a certain machine and supplies the same to an operator of the machine. The operational manual teaches how to operate a minimum procedure in order to obtain one of functions with which the machine is equipped. Each of the functions including the plurality of minimum procedures which can no longer be segmented. The apparatus stores a help information item for every minimum procedure. Each help information item indicates how to operate a corresponding minimum procedure. The apparatus further stores operations input to the machine by the operator. Thus, the operator analyzes the operations and detects a predetermined function desired by the operator. Then, the apparatus produces the operational manual containing help information items corresponding to the predetermined function, and supplies it to the operator. The operational manual is produced if the apparatus has judged that the predetermined condition has been established.
