  • Publication number: 20060035162
Abstract: A magnetic toner contains, as a magnetic powder, magnetic iron oxide having an octahedral particle shape and an average particle diameter of 0.21 ?m or larger and containing 18% or more by weight of FeO. The magnetic toner is so prepared as to have a bulk density A (g/cm3) and a magnetic powder content B (% by weight) that fulfill the formulae 0.8?A/B×100?1.6 and 35?B?50. This alleviates the reddishness of images produced with the magnetic toner, and alleviates the disturbance of a thin toner layer on a developing sleeve and thus the fogging resulting therefrom.

  • Publication number: 20040223018
Abstract: The conventional technique to save printing paper is not generally applicable and is not able to substantially save printing paper. Its improvement includes acquiring the printing job data for execution of printing job, setting the printing area for each printing resolution, laying out printing images having the same printing resolution specified by the printing job data in the margin of the printing area for the same printing resolution, generating the layout data showing the layout, spooling the printing job data, and performing printing according to the layout data those images shown by spooled printing job data when the condition to start execution of the print job is met.

  • Patent number: 6760560
Abstract: A developing apparatus has a developer supporting member 41 with a surface roughness RZ in the range from 3.0 to 5.5 &mgr;m and a one-component developer T with a bulk density in the range from 0.35 to 0.55 g/ml, and an image is developed by forming a layer of the developer T on the developer supporting member 41. This makes it possible to form a thin toner layer stably despite changes in ambient conditions, and to prevent low image density and fogging. The absolute value of the amount of electric charge with which the developer T is charged is preferably in the range from 3.0 to 10.0 &mgr;C/g. The developer supporting member 41 is made preferably of stainless steel.

  • Patent number: 6621487
Abstract: The input capacitance of a current outputting amplifier for the case where it is connected to an electrostatic sensor portion is preliminarily allowed for and after a capacitance equivalent to this input capacitance is added to the input terminal of the amplifier, an offset in the output of the amplifier is cancelled. The added capacitance is then isolated from the input terminal of the amplifier and electrodes in the electrostatic sensor portion are scanned to generate touch detection signals.

  • Publication number: 20030121830
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for treating gasoline vapor by bringing gasoline vapor within a fuel tank into contact with a fluid gasoline and making the fluid gasoline absorb the gasoline vapor, in order to improve absorptivity of the gasoline vapor and to reduce the amount of the gasoline vapor introduced into a canister, thereby attaining a canister downsizing. The method and apparatus comprise a separation device of introducing the liquid gasoline within the fuel tank and separating it into a low boiling point component and a high boiling point component, and a gas-liquid contact device of bringing the gasoline vapor within the fuel tank into contact with an extractive gasoline composed of the high boiling point component separated by the separation device, whereby when contacting the gasoline vapor with the extractive gasoline, a part of the gasoline vapor is absorbed to the extractive gasoline, and a residual of the gasoline vapor not absorbed to the extractive gasoline is introduced into a canister.

  • Patent number: 6575199
Abstract: Fuel supply pipe 43 includes a fixed fuel supply pipe 43b that comprises a metal, such as stainless steel, and connecting fuel supply pipes 43a, 43c that comprise a resin or similar material. The bulk resistivity of connecting fuel supply pipes 43a, 43c is chosen to be within the range from 107 to 1011 &OHgr;·cm. By doing this, the amount of electric charge that builds up in the fuel when the fuel passes through connecting fuel supply pipes 43a, 43c can be held low. Further, the electric charge that builds up on connecting fuel supply pipes 43a, 43c is not rapidly discharged. Therefore, spark discharge can be prevented from being generated on connecting fuel supply pipe 43a. Connecting fuel supply pipes 43a, 43c may have a multi-layer structure that includes an innermost layer having a bulk resistivity of 107 to 1011 &OHgr;·cm and an outermost layer having a bulk resistivity of about 1012 &OHgr;·cm or more.
