  • Patent number: 6814546
Abstract: A multifan-equipped apparatus in which a plurality of objects mounted are controllably cooled by blowing air using a fan-unit assembly composed of a plurality of fan units. The plural fan units are divided into a plurality of groups; the fan units in the same group are arranged in a queue. And one of the fan units of each group is a master fan unit that is autonomically adjustable in revolutions per minute (rpm) in accordance with a current apparatus-environment temperature and serves to make a tuning control on the rpm of at least one of the remaining fan units in the same group so as to adjust the rpm to a first estimated value corresponding to the autonomic-adjusted rpm of the master fan unit.

  • Patent number: 6801729
Abstract: An image forming apparatus has an image forming unit and a film-heat-type fuser over which a sheet with an unfixed toner image passes and on which are positioned a first temperature-measuring device centered on the fuser so that a sheet always passes over that device and a second temperature measuring device disposed away from the center so that large sheets will pass over the second temperature measuring device and small sheets will not pass over the device when being conveyed correctly. The device also has a temperature control mechanism, a sheet size detector and throughput control, so that the throughput control changes throughput when the sheet size detector determines that a small sheet is being conveyed and the difference between the temperatures of the first and second temperature measuring devices is less than a predetermined value as the sheet passes over the fuser.

  • Patent number: 6380650
Abstract: An installation structure allows easy installation of vibration-proofing members in an electric motor, which avoid resonance due to vibration of an engine, without increasing the number of components. A bottom wall of an installation hole for receiving the electric motor is spaced from a bottom wall of a yoke. Also, flexible tabs are formed on the bottom wall of the yoke. In this arrangement, the electric motor is installed in the installation hole in a manner such that the flexible tabs are pressed into contact with a step portion arranged on the bottom wall of the installation hole.

  • Patent number: 5041182
Abstract: In manufacturing a composite material blade for a helicopter, for example, an upper and a lower dummy skins are disposed on molding surfaces of an upper and a lower mold halves. A dummy block provided with a preliminarily hardened vertical rib and having an outer shape corresponding to the molding surface of the lower mold half is also disposed. A lower portion of a spar is joined to a lower surface front edge cover and the vertical rib and a rear edge reinforcing member is joined to the lower surface rear edge cover. An annular reinforcing member and a front edge block are disposed on the lower portion of the spar and an upper portion of the spar is disposed on the annular reinforcing member and the front edge block. In this state, the upper and the lower mold halves are closed and thermo-setting treatment is performed to the closed mold assembly.

  • Patent number: 4412809
Abstract: An oxygen density detecting device for a combustor in which individual adjustment of reference levels for each combustor is not necessary. A memory device stores a reference ion current value from a sensor disposed in the combustor for a predetermined period of time extending from the time instant at which combustion breaks out in the combustor until the ion current has substantially stabilized. The oxygen density of the room air used by the combustor is determined by comparing the ion current value stored in the memory with ion current values which are successively provided by the sensing device. An output signal produced thereby is utilized to control circuit elements including a fuel supplying electromagnetic pump and a combustion air blower used for supplying room air into the combustor.
