  • Patent number: 7052075
Abstract: A vehicular body panel or component part having a reinforcing backing plate reconciled to a part of a blank material at a position wherein a bending formation is implemented. The backing plate has one or more apertures formed in at least one lateral raw at a location equivalent to the position of the bending formation. When forming the blank material and the backing plate concurrently by a bending operation, the backing plate becomes intimately associated with the blank sheet to avoid the backing plate from locally separating from the blank material and from forming a gap relative thereto, with a resultant improved product quality.

  • Patent number: 7048594
Abstract: A terminal (10) has two high-rigidity portions (14) for resiliently contacting the inner surface of a through hole (23). A low-rigidity portion (17) spans between the high-rigidity portions (14) and is compressively deformable along its spanning direction. The low-rigidity portion (17) has an easily breakable portion (19) that breaks when a stress acting during the insertion of the terminal (10) into the through hole (23) exceeds a resiliency limit. Thus, the terminal (10) is held resiliently in contact with a large diameter through hole (23) by resilient forces of the two high-rigidity portions (14) and a resilient force of the low-rigidity portion (17). However, the terminal (10) is held resiliently in contact with a small diameter through hole (23) only by the resilient forces of the two high-rigidity portions (14).

  • Patent number: 7033229
Abstract: A connector (10) has a housing (12) with insertion holes (15) and terminal fittings (20) to be pressed into the insertion holes (15). Each terminal fitting (20) has a press-in portion (23) to be pressed into the insertion hole (15) while pushing material of the housing (12) outward. An accommodating portion (24) is continuous with the press-in portion (23) and has slanted surfaces (24A) narrowing the press-in portion (23) toward the rear side with respect to the inserting direction. Thus, material pushed out by the press-in portion (23) returns after the passage of the press-in portion (23) and engages the accommodat9ing portion (24). The width between the rear ends of the slanted surfaces (24A) of the accommodating portion (24) is equal to or smaller than the width of the insertion hole (15).

  • Publication number: 20060013507
Abstract: An image signal generation portion 11 generates an image signal of a variable frame-rate picked-up image. A signal generation control portion 24 drives the image signal generation portion 11 and generates image pick-up setting information IF to generate an image signal that is frame-synchronized with a generated image signal DVd. The generated image signal DVd is output in condition where the image pick-up setting information IF is inserted in it. When supplied with image pick-up setting information IFex, the signal generation control portion 24 controls the driving operations of the image signal generation portion 11 based on the image pick-up setting information IFex, to frame-synchronize the generated image signal with an image signal of a reference variable frame-rate picked-up image of a source that has supplied the image pick-up setting information IFex. If a plurality of image pick-up devices capable of varying a frame rate is used, the image signals can be frame-synchronized with each other.

  • Patent number: 6965416
Abstract: The present invention relates to an image processing circuit and an image processing method, and is applied to, for example, a video camera, an electronic still camera and the like, for compressing the dynamic range at a high compression rate with evading the lowering of an impression concerning the contrast and the unnatural edge emphasis. The present invention smoothes an input image X while preserving the edge to obtain a gain correction coefficient, and corrects the pixel value x(i, j) of the input image X with the gain correction coefficient.

  • Patent number: 6965406
Abstract: The present invention relates to an image processor and an image processing method for compensating gradation by effectively avoiding drop of partial contrast through application to an image processor such as television receiver, video tape recorder, television camera and printer or the like. A domain to which an input image data belongs is judged, for example, with reference to the low frequency element r (i, j) of the pixel value x (i, j) and the signal level x (i, j) of the image data forming an input image VT is compensated on the basis of the result of judgment r(i, j).

  • Patent number: 6934503
Abstract: A printer prints on two sides of a sheet of paper having continuous pages, and discharges the paper to a postprocessor for disconnecting the paper in page units and storing the disconnected sheets of paper in a stack. Depending on whether the postprocessor has an inversion mechanism that inverts front and back sides of the paper, sides of the paper on which data for the front side of the paper and data for the back side of the paper are printed are switched. With this arrangement, even when the postprocessor does not have the inversion mechanism, the front side data is printed on the back side, and the back side data is printed on the front side thereby enabling the postprocessor to stack the disconnected sheets of paper in page units in the order of page numbers.

  • Patent number: 6875032
Abstract: A circuit board terminal (10) has a board connecting portion (12) with a pair of resilient contacts (14) that bulge out with a deformation space (15) therebetween. A resiliently deformable strut (17) bridges the facing inner surfaces of the two resilient contacts (14). The board connecting portion (12) can be inserted into a through hole (23) in a circuit board (20). Thus, the resilient contacts (14) are pressed against the inner surface of the through hole (23) by a resilient force of the strut (17) acting in elongating directions and their own resilient forces acting in opening directions.

  • Publication number: 20050046701
Abstract: A preprocessor performs a signal processing operation by using an image signal DVa generated by picking up a subject image. A frame adder adds frames of an image signal DVb generated by the preprocessor so as to generate an image signal DVc with a changed frame rate. When changing the setting of the signal processing operation of the preprocessor, the signal processing operation is restarted with the new setting at the start or at the end of a frame addition period (in units of frame addition periods) of the frame adder based on a determination signal indicating the frame addition period.

  • Publication number: 20040175054
Abstract: The invention provides an image processing apparatus and an image processing method. An area to which image data belongs is discriminated, and a correction coefficient to be used for correction of a pixel value of the image data is produced based on a result of the discrimination. Then, the pixel value of the image data is corrected with the correction coefficient. The relationship in magnitude among pixel values in the same area is maintained because the same coefficient is used, but pixel values which belong to different areas can be varied or even reversed. This allows the gradation of an entire image to be corrected while preventing partial deterioration of the contrast.

  • Patent number: 6753910
Abstract: The invention provides an image processing apparatus and an image processing method and can be applied to an image information apparatus such as, for example, a television receiver, a video tape recorder, a television camera and a printer so that the gradation can be corrected while effectively preventing a finally obtained image from partial deterioration of the contrast. An area to which each of image data belongs is discriminated with reference to, for example, a low frequency component of a pixel value, and a correction coefficient is produced for the area. Such correction coefficients are smoothed between successive frames, and the pixel values of the image data are corrected with the smoothed correction coefficients.

  • Patent number: 6724943
Abstract: A device and a method for image processing make it possible to significantly improve the contrast and the sharpness of the whole image, in comparison with the ordinary. By amplifying the portions other than the edges, while conserving the edges with the pixel values which change abruptly out of input image data, it is possible to enhance and display the portions other than the edges, and so it is possible to significantly improve the contrast and the sharpness of the whole image, in comparison with the ordinary.
