  • Publication number: 20060159276
Abstract: The designation of a localization position is received in accordance with an input position on a dashboard image in a localization-position reception window, and delay times for audio signals supplied to respective speakers are set so that the sound image is localized at the received localization position. The position where a sound image aurally perceived is localized is received, on the dashboard image in a localization-position confirmation window, from the user, until the user indicates that the position where the sound image aurally perceived is localized matches the localization position designated in the localization-position reception window. The relationship between the delay times and the localization position is re-estimated so as to correspond to the received localization position and the set delay times. In accordance with the estimated relationship, processing for re-setting the delay times is repeated.

  • Publication number: 20060152826
Abstract: A camera module fixing structure is configured so that a cushion is fitted over the outer peripheral surface of the lens barrel portion of the camera module, and that the cushion is press-fitted between the camera module holding frame and the apparatus enclosure while sandwichedly fixing the holding frame between a substrate and an apparatus enclosure. This completely eliminates the need for positioning the cushion, and produces the effect of preventing refuse or dust from intruding into the lens barrel portion passing between the enclosure and the holding frame, or through the side surface of the camera module from inside the apparatus. Even when shock or pressure through a screen is applied, the lens barrel portion is prevented from being directly subjected to load, which allows a reliable protection of the lens barrel portion, and prevention of the occurrence of an out-of-focus state or module failure.

  • Patent number: 6688915
Abstract: An electric connector includes an insulating body, wherein connection parts to be connected with counterpart connectors are arranged in the height direction, a conductive outer wall shell put on the body and having an opening on the front side, and a conductive inner wall shell for partitioning the connection parts. Both the ends, in the width direction, of the intermediate part of the inner wall shell are extended to fasten to the outer wall shell, and at least one end is formed into an approximately-U-shaped thrust-in part rising from the front side toward the rear side when seen in the width direction, and two top ends on the rear side of the thrust-in part are fastened into two slits formed in the outer wall shell. Thereby, the coupling strength between the outer and inner wall shells and the anti-prying strength against prying forces exerted by counterpart connectors are enhanced significantly, and the electric connector is reliably prevented from being damaged.

  • Publication number: 20030082951
Abstract: The coupling strength between the outer wall shell and the inner wall shell is enhanced significantly, and the anti-prying strength against prying forces exerted by counterpart connectors is enhanced much more, and in turn, the electric connector is reliably prevented from being damaged. The invention is an electric connector comprising an insulating body wherein connection parts to be connected with counterpart connectors are arranged in the height direction, an outer wall shell being to be put on the body and having an opening on the front side, and an inner wall shell for partitioning the connection parts.

  • Patent number: 6467567
Abstract: When a steering wheel is relatively quickly turned at the time of parking, before a first stopper mechanism located between an input shaft and an output shaft is operated, an elastic member 47 attached to a movement end of a rack shaft 13 comes into contact with a rack stopper 39 of a rack housing 14, thereby absorbing the impact at the time of steering at parking. That is, the strike speed when contact portions of the first stopper mechanism are brought into contact with each other, is slowed down. Accordingly, the uncomfortable noise due to the strike sound is not given to the driver.

  • Patent number: 6081066
Abstract: A piezo-electric resonator includes terminal plates holding a piezo-electric substrate and which are stored in a case. The piezo-electric substrate can be formed from piezo-electric ceramics. The piezo-electric ceramic plate has projections at the non-vibrating sections of its cuter circumferential side surfaces. When the centers of the piezo-electric ceramic plate are held by the terminal plates, the projections do not contact the inner surfaces of the case. When the position of the piezo-electric ceramic plate is displaced due to external vibration, the projections may contact the inner surfaces of the case and the vibrating sections of the piezo-electric ceramic plate do not contact the inner surfaces of the case. Due to this fact, its electrical characteristics are not changed. in addition, since this configuration is set such that the piezo-electric ceramic plate can be slightly moved in the case, the piezo-electric ceramic plate is less likely to receive a high shock or stress through the case.

  • Patent number: 6059679
Abstract: An auto tensioner comprising a support shaft whose one end is fixed to a target attaching object and which has an arm support portion, an arm whose one end is rotatably supported by the arm support portion of the arm and which has a pulley support portion projecting fowardly and axially beyond the top end of the support shaft, a tension pulley which is rotatably supported by the pulley support portion of the arm and arranged at a position offset from the support shaft and a friction plate arranged between one end of the arm and the arm support portion of the support shaft and adapted to apply a rotary resistance to the arm. Further, the friction plate is provided with a load bearing member in its zone where a load resulting from the offset arrangement of the tension pulley is applied whereby the zone of the friction plate can have a sufficient degree of load-resistant property.
