  • Patent number: 6506454
Abstract: A part painting method and apparatus in which dust, paint residue, and dripping excess paint are prevented from falling on a surface to be painted. A lens, as an example of a part to be painted, is covered with a mask body with a surface to be painted of the lens exposed through the mask body. The lens is positioned and fixed on the rear side of the mask body. The front side of the mask body, which functions as a masking surface with respect to spray paint from the paint gun, is arranged slanted downward with respect to vertical such that painting is performed with the mask body slanted at a predetermined angle so that excess paint dripping from the mask body does not drip onto the lens.

  • Publication number: 20020127131
Abstract: A new austenitic stainless steel contains 0.1-1.0 mass % of Si and not more than 0.003 mass % of Al. Nonmetallic inclusion dispersed in a steel matrix is converted to MnO—SiO2—Al2O3 containing not less than 15 mass % of SiO2 and not more than 40 mass % of Al2O3. During steel making, molten steel is covered with basic slag and strongly deoxidized with a Si alloy whose Al content is controlled not more than 1.0 mass % in a vacuum or non-oxidizing atmosphere. The austenitic stainless steel sheet can be formed to an objective shape without occurrence of cracking due to its less crack-sensitivity and good formability.

  • Publication number: 20020108680
Abstract: A newly proposed steel consists of 8.0-35.0 wt. % Cr, 0.05-1.20 wt. % C, 0.05-3.0 wt. % at least one of Ti, Nb, Zr, V and W and the balance being essentially Fe and has the structure that a total amount of Ti, Nb, Zr V and/or W carbide precipitations distributed in a steel matrix is adjusted to 0.1 wt. % or more. The steel is bestowed with excellent abrasion-resistance by distribution of carbide precipitations. These carbides have nearly the same hardness as hard particles such as alumina and silicon carbides which causes abrasive abrasion. Due to such excellent abrasion-resistance, a weaving machine member, a sewing needle, an agricultural machine member such as a mowing tooth or a cutter blade made of the steel can be used over a long period.

  • Patent number: 5973334
Abstract: A magnetic sensor has a three-terminal magnetic device consisting of an emitter, a base, and a collector. A semiconductor layer serving as the collector and a magnetic multilayered film serving as the base form a Schottky junction. The magnetic multilayered film has two magnetic films opposing each other with a nonmagnetic film between them. The emitter constructed of a metal film and the base are connected via a tunnel insulating film. The relationship between the magnetization directions in the magnetic films changes in accordance with an external magnetic field, and this changes the value of a current flowing through the magnetic device. The external magnetic field is sensed on the basis of this change in the current value.

  • Patent number: 5416226
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a trimer of a low aliphatic aldehyde having 2-5 carbon atoms and the chlorinated 2-position is disclosed. The process comprises cyclically trimerizing said aliphatic aldehyde with chlorinated 2-position in the presence of a catalyst selected from the group consisting of metallic tin, metallic zinc, zeolite, and Lewis acids. It ensures easy separation of the catalyst from the target trimer and a high yield of the trimer. In addition, the unreacted raw material can be easily recovered.

  • Patent number: 5397665
Abstract: A photomask with pellicle which is treated so that even if the obverse and reverse surfaces of the photomask are stained with a trace amount of contaminative particles during cleaning, water content and a low-volatile component are prevented from adhering to such contaminative particles during storage, thereby preventing the photomask from becoming stained with passage of time. Also disclosed is a method of treating and storing the photomask. The photomask is subjected to a hydrophobic treatment by providing the obverse and reverse surfaces thereof with a trimethylsilyl film formed by a reaction of OH groups in these surfaces with 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexamethyldisilazane.

  • Patent number: 5353934
Abstract: In a case for holding and carrying a substrate such as a photomask, a case body comprises a top cover and a bottom cover, whose inner surfaces include inwardly extending protrusions integrally formed therewith. The protrusions are crowned with silicone caps to hold a substrate. The substrate within the case is at its four corners fixedly held from both sides by the silicone caps. The top and bottom covers also include at their inner surfaces a plurality of positioning projections designed to come into contact with the edges of the substrate to place the substrate in position in its surface direction. Then the top cover and the bottom cover are brought into engagement with each other and fastened together, thereby providing a case low in dust generating characteristics arising from vibration and capable of holding various sizes and thicknesses of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 5330053
Abstract: The present invention relates to a case for a photomask to prevent generation of dust which might attach to and stain a photomask or the photomask pellicle. In a case for a photomask comprising a case main unit with an upper opening for accommodating the photomask and a lid for the opening of the case main unit, cushion materials are provided on the inner bottom of the case main unit and on the inner ceiling of the lid. The photomask is elastically squeezed between the cushion materials when accommodated. Thus, shaking and rattling during transportation are prevented to minimize the generation of dust. As the cushion material, a rubber material having a smooth surface on one side and a coarse surface on the other side is used.

  • Patent number: 5258905
Abstract: An expanded programmable memory controller (PMC) is provided outside a numerical control device and connected to a main body programmable machine controller (PMC) which is inside the numerical control apparatus. The expanded programmable machine controller has a first sequence program, a second sequence program and a switching control mechanism. The first sequence program controls equipment connected to the expanded PMC. The second sequence program pseudo-executes an operation performed by the main body PMC. The switching control mechanism performs switching operation when an I/O signal of the first sequence program is supplied to or received from the main body PMC and when the I/O signal of the first sequence program is supplied to or received from the second sequence program so that when supplied to or received from the second sequence program, the first sequence and the second sequence programs are alternatively executed.
