Abstract: A cartridge case includes: a tape reel including a hub that is shaped like a bottomed-cylinder and on an outer surface of a base plate of which ring-shaped driven teeth, in whose base part an inclined surface is formed, are disposed; a lower case that has an opening, a ring-shaped contact part and a guide surface, the opening being formed in a center of a base plate of the lower case, the contact part being formed in a protruding state on an inner surface of the base plate so as to surround the opening and having a contact surface that contacts and supports the tape reel at a position on the base plate of the hub outside the driven teeth, and the guide surface, which has a complementary form to the inclined surface of the driven teeth, being formed at an edge of the opening; and an upper case that together with the lower case encloses the tape reel in a rotatable state.

Abstract: A door member for a tape cartridge capable of automating the operation of mounting a spring member thereon. A door body is in the form of a flat plate. A spring-mounting portion is in the form of a flat plate and extends from the door body and has one end face in which opens an insertion hole formed therein for having a foremost end of a spring member inserted therein. One surface-side wall and another surface-side wall define the insertion hole from an opening-side region of the insertion hole toward the end face to an innermost region of the insertion hole. Cutouts are alternately formed in the one surface-side wall and the other surface-side wall, such that the cutouts communicate with the insertion hole. A protuberance is formed on an inner surface of the one surface-side wall facing the innermost region, for engagement with the foremost end of the spring member.

Abstract: A tape cartridge enabling a leader member fixing a leading edge of a tape-shaped recording medium led outside to acquire sufficient clamping force acting on the leading edge of the tape. The tape cartridge accommodates a reel hub unit rotatably, for winding a tape on its periphery, and includes a leader member for holding and fixing a leading edge of the tape. The leader member has a pin member having a pair of collar portions between which the tape-shaped recording medium is positioned, and a clamp member fitted in between the collar portions from through a longitudinal opening formed in a cylindrical body, and clamping the leading edge of the recording medium between the pin member and the clamp member. A diameter of the pin member is about 1.2 to 1.8 mm, and an inside diameter of the clamp member is about 90 to 96.6% of the diameter.

Abstract: This tape cartridge is provided with a tape reel being rotatable and having a reel teeth portion; and a brake-locking member having a brake teeth portion in which mating operation and mate-releasing operation can be performed with respect to the reel teeth portion. The reel teeth portion and the brake teeth portion, each has plural teeth. Each of the teeth has a taper portion being inclined toward both sides from a tip part of the taper portion and a vertical portion extending in a substantially vertical manner from both end terminals of the taper portion to a base portion. At the time of the mating, the tip part is contacted with a bottom surface of the base portion at the side of the opposite teeth, and the vertical portion is opposed to the vertical portion at the side of the opposite teeth. At the time of mating, the vertical portions of the teeth are mutually contacted and the mating state is hard to become unfitted.

Second teeth that engage the first teeth are formed on an upper part of at least one of the convex parts. Abstract: Disclosed is a tape cartridge capable of preventing emission of abnormal sounds and chipping of a tooth in a brake lock member and preventing emission of vibrating sounds and occurrence of abrasion at a usage time when a reel hub unit rotates at a high rotating speed because of being increased in capacity or at a producing time when the reel hub unit rotates at the high rotating speed for rewinding a tape-shaped recording medium.

Abstract: A tape reel includes: a hub in the shape of a bottomed-cylinder with a disc-like lower flange integrally formed at a lower end thereof and an opening formed at an upper end thereof; and an upper flange that is disc-like, has a center hole formed therein, and has a ring-shaped protrusion formed so as to protrude at a rim of the center hole, the protrusion being fitted into and fixed at the opening of the hub. The hub includes a plurality of reinforcing ribs that are respectively formed in an up-down direction on an inner circumferential surface of the hub.

Abstract: This tape cartridge includes a tape reel on which a sheet-like recording medium is wound in the inside. A door member for opening and closing an opening in order to pull out the sheet-like recording medium from the tape reel to an outside is biased using a spring member so as to be closed upon non-using and opened upon using. The spring member is pushed in the concave fitting portion provided at the door member from the tip part and fitted therewith. When the tape cartridge is produced, the spring member can be temporally assembled, readily and securely. According to this tape cartridge, assembling performance of the spring member which biases the door member for opening and closing the opening and the door member can be enhanced, the assembly process can be automated, and there is no interference with sliding motion of the door member.

The contact surfaces of the spring member are curved towards central parts thereof so as to project towards the side surfaces.

The side wall 211b is coupled to the side wall 212b in a state in which the movement of the end surface of the side wall 211b in a direction away from the end surface of the side wall 212b and the respective movements of the side wall 211b to the outer surface side and inner surface side thereof are restricted.

Abstract: A cartridge comprises a case consisting of upper and lower shells joined and containing a medium, a shutter which slides astride over one edge portion of the case to open or close a slot formed in the case to expose the medium partly, and a locking member which keeps the shutter in the closing position immovably. The locking member is normally, except when unlocked, exposed partly in a recess for the access of an unlocking member, so that a push of the exposed portion of the locking member disengages it from a projection formed on the inner side of the outer edge of the shutter. Confining structure is provided for confining the position of the exposed portion of the locking member always to the inside of the line extended from the end face of the shutter is provided between the exposed portion and the interior surface of the case.
