Abstract: A cleaning disc cartridge capable of concurrently cleaning both a magnetic head of a magneto-optical disc apparatus and an optical lens thereof without causing any error in reading of a signal. A rotating disc is provided on one surface thereof opposite to a magnetic head of the apparatus with a head cleaning member and on the other surface thereof opposite to an objective lens of the apparatus with lens cleaning members. The rotating disc includes a disc body which is provided with an inventory region defined on an inner peripheral side of a lens cleaning member arrangement region, a reproduction-only region defined on an outer peripheral side of the lens cleaning member arrangement region, and an information recording and reproducing region outside the reproduction-only region.

Abstract: A tape cassette capable of being readily assembled irrespective of a lid for covering a tape being constituted by three lid member and effectively preventing disengagement of a support shaft of the lid from a bearing hold due to application of shock to the tape cassette. A lid including a front lid member for covering a front surface of a tape, an upper lid member for covering its upper surface and a rear lid member for covering its rear surface is arranged so as to be openable with respect to a casing, to thereby selectively expose the tape, wherein a connection between each two of the lid members is constituted by a diameter enlarged section of a support shaft of one of the lid members provided with a cutout and a shaft bearing hole of the other lid member formed with an opening smaller than the diameter enlarged section and substantially equal to or smaller than the cutout.

Abstract: An endless-loop tape cassette includes an endless-loop magnetic tape; and a disk which has a portion of the magnetic tape wound in a stack thereon, and which is rotatable along with one of a supply reel shaft and a take-up reel shaft. In addition, a rotating member is provided, which is rotatable along with the other one of the supply reel shaft and the take-up reel shaft. A transmission mechanism transmits a rotary movement between the disk and the rotating member; and a backstop is engageable with at least one of the disk, the rotating member and the transmission mechanism.

Abstract: A cartridge for receiving therein a recording/reproducing medium has a casing having a label area in which a label is disposed. A transparent cover covers the label and is attached to the casing via a projection and a recess so as to be opened and closed.

Abstract: A for winding a tape thereabout for a tape cassette about which a tape can be wound. The hub has a hub body and a tape clamp that fits in a recess defined by the periphery of the hub body. The hub body has a coefficient of linear expansion below 6 .times.10.sup.-5 cm/cm .degree.C. at -10.degree. to +90.degree. C. The periphery of the hub body can be plated with a metal film.

Abstract: A magnetic tape cassette housing is divided into a major part and a rear frame member attached to the rear end of the major part. The major part is divided into a pair of side frame members which are formed of a material of low friction coefficient and a main body surrounded and held together by the side frame members and rear frame member. The housing is of double-layer structure consisting of inside and outside layers. The inside layers are formed with steps along the edges of the side frame members and the rear frame member, and the outside layers are so formed as to fall onto the steps and extend inwardly of the edges of the side frame members. The main body and side frame members are formed with mutually engageable, temporary fasteners. The outer surface of the outside layer is satin crape finished and at least the interface between the inside and outside layers mirror finished.

Abstract: A casing for receiving a magnetic tape cassette comprises a transparent or semi-transparent casing main body 1 adapted to receive therein a magnetic tape cassette and a cover 3 pivotally supported by the casing main body by way of hinges 2, wherein a rib 10 for restricting the movement of the magnetic tape cassette in the direction of thickness of the casing main body 1 and a rib 9 for restricting the movement of the cassette in the longer side direction of the casing main body 1 are formed in the inner wall at a corner portion of the cover member.

Abstract: A tape cassette is provided which is so constructed that a plurality of weighting members are fittedly held in fitting apertures or recesses of a casing formed at corners of the casing in a detachable manner while being exposed at part thereof on a surface of the casing. Such construction of the cassette not only permits the cassette to exhibit optimum vibration-damping properties to ensure satisfactory recording and reproducing of the cassette and contributes an improvement in mechanical strength of the cassette but provides the cassette with a variation in design sufficient to exhibit good aesthetic properties, to thereby increase a merchandise value of the cassette.

Abstract: A cassette type recording unit comprises a cassette casing, an IC memory, a magnetism-electricity transducer capable of magnetically coupling to a recording/reproducing head of the magnetic tape recording apparatus, a recording system and a reproducing system which are arranged between the electro-magnetic transducer and the IC memory, a magnetic detector to detect magnetism in an erasing head of the magnetic tape recording apparatus and a semiconductor switching circuit for switching from the recording system to the reproducing system and vice versa on the basis of a signal from the magnetism detecting element.

Abstract: A cleaning cassette capable of accomplishing a safe and positive cleaning operation while ensuring smooth and stable running of a cleaning tape. The cleaning cassette includes a tape passing mechanism arranged at a front portion of a casing for ensuring satisfactory traveling of the cleaning tape while reducing contact between the cleaning tape and a head cylinder of a cassette tape deck. The mechanism includes a pair of rollers through which the cleaning tape is passed, a support member for supporting each of the rollers at each of its respective ends such that each roller can rotate and a pair of partitions provided between insertion recesses of the casing.

Abstract: A magnetic tape cassette comprises a casing consisting of upper and lower half casings, reel hubs contained in the casing so as to be rotatable, a magnetic tape wound around on the reel hubs, a support pin projecting from the casing, a pad provided near an area of rotation of the hub, the pad having an intermediate portion turnably supported by the support pin and an end portion for pushing the magnetic tape to guide rollers and/or guide poles provided at the area where the magnetic tape runs, and a rib projecting from the casing and having the free end which is in contact with the other end portion of the pad so that the one end portion of the pad is urged to a side wall of the casing.

Abstract: A tape cassette capable of ensuring firm joining between different resin layers of a casing and exhibiting a good aesthetic property. The tape cassette includes a casing consisting of upper casing member and lower casing member which are integrally made into a two-layer structure of a primary resin layer and a secondary resin layer integrally formed by two-layer molding. The secondary resin layer is formed with a plurality of penetrations and the primary resin layer is joined to the secondary resin layer in a manner to be fitted in the penetrations, resulting in being integral with the secondary resin layer.

Abstract: A magnetic tape cassette capable of effectively preventing separation of a slider from a casing even when it is dropped or any external force is applied thereto, resulting in ensuring its safety and reliability. The magnetic case includes a casing constituted by an upper casing member and a lower casing member and a slider slidably mounted on the lower casing member. Each of side walls of the slider includes a lower portion opposite to an outer surface of a side wall of the lower casing member and an upper portion opposite to an inner surface of the side wall of the upper casing member. The cassette also includes a mechanism for preventing the slider from being disclocated from the casing. The mechanism may be provided by positioning the inner surface of the side wall of the upper casing member inwardly from the outer surface of the side wall of the lower casing member.

Abstract: A magnetic tape cassette which can be smoothly assembled and smoothly operated for a long period of time without any malfunctions in operation. In the magnetic tape cassette, a spring support for holding a hub brake spring and an abutment for provisionally holding an extension of a hub brake spring are pivoted on a lower casing member of a casing in which a magnetic tape is received, and a release element for releasing the provisionally held hub brake spring from the abutment to transfer it to a spring engagement of the hub brake is provided on the upper casing member. Also, the spring engagement is arranged on the other side of the hub brake so as to project therefrom.

Abstract: A tape cassette has a case with upper and lower halves and an open space at the front thereof. A magnetic tape housed in the case is wound around a pair of reels. A brake is slidably mounted on the inner surface of the lower half of the case to prevent the reels from being rotated. Part of a spring is attached to the brake. The spring has free ends and urges the brake in a direction. A device for positioning the spring includes a partition wall on the inner surface of the lower half of the case which partitions the open case from the inside of the case. An independent abutment member on the partition wall abuts the free ends of the spring.

Abstract: A magnetic tape cassette includes a protective cover pivotally mounted to the front side of a housing wherein the upper and lower front edge corner portions of an elongated main portion of the protective cover is formed with smooth surfaces to prevent the cover from inadvertently pivoting or opening during handling to expose the magnetic tape to contaminants.

Abstract: A casing for a magnetic tape cassette capable of constantly actuating a slider with high reliability for a long period of time, even under conditions of high temperature. The casing includes a casing body having an upper casing member and a lower casing member joined together, and a tapping boss of high rigidity arranged therein, with a slider being slidably mounted on the lower casing member so as to cover at least a part of a bottom and sides of the lower casing member. The casing also includes a torsion spring arranged in the casing body to act on the slider, the torsion spring having a coil-like portion supported on a supporting member mounted on the lower casing member, and an end of the torsopm spring engaged with the slider. The other end of the torsion spring is securely held in an engagement portion formed at the tapping boss.

Abstract: A casing for a magnetic tape cassette capable of effectively and precisely actuating a slider. The casing includes a casing body having an upper casing member and a lower casing member joined together. The slider is slidably mounted on the lower casing member so as to cover at least a part of a bottom and a side of the lower casing member. The upper casing member is provided at a rear portion of both sides thereof with holding members through which the casing is grasped. The holding members are separated or isolated from the slider, to assure smooth sliding movement of the slider. The casing body may be provided on both sides thereof with reliefs which serve to prevent the holding members from interfering with movement of the slider.
