  • Patent number: 7574126
Abstract: A lens position calculator is provided that determines a phase of a driving signal as a reference position of an imaging lens when an output value of a position detection sensor reaches a threshold value. The lens position calculator determines a position obtained by performing addition or subtraction on the reference position read out from a reference position storage as a judgment position, detects an output value of the position detection sensor at a timing in synchronization with the driving signal that drives a driver and at the judgment position, and judges whether the output value of the position detection sensor at the judgment position reaches the threshold value or not, so as to determine the reference position again.

  • Patent number: 7527088
Abstract: An exhaust gas heat exchanger has a tank, laminated exhaust gas tubes where the exhaust gas flows, a cooling water inlet pipe and a cooling water outlet pipe. The cooling water flows into the tank and flows through water passages between adjacent exhaust gas tubes and between an inner wall of the tank and an outermost exhaust gas tube. Ribs are formed on the exhaust gas tubes so as to lead the cooling water after colliding with an inner wall toward an upstream side of the exhaust gas tubes to prevent the cooling water from being stuck. Otherwise, spaces between an inner wall of a casing and the exhaust gas tubes are regulated to keep the flow rate of the cooling water in the casing so that the cooling water is prevented from being boiled locally by slow flow rate of the cooling water.

  • Patent number: 7509110
Abstract: A mixer produces an improved output signal during frequency translation of an input signal using a local oscillator (LO) signal. The mixer includes five component mixers connected in parallel. Each component mixer uses a phase-shifted version of the LO signal for frequency translation to produce a component output signal from the input signal. The component output signals are scaled according to corresponding gain factors and combined to form the output signal. When the mixer is used in a receiver, the phases of the component LO signals and the gain factors are configured to substantially cancel overlapping baseband versions of component input signals located at the third, fifth, seventh and ninth harmonics of the LO frequency. When used in a transmitter, the same phase and gain factor configurations substantially cancel third, fifth, seventh and ninth harmonics within the output signal.

  • Patent number: 7483219
Abstract: An imaging optical system is configured with a first lens group disposed on a first optical axis and capturing a luminous flux from a subject along the first optical axis, a prism that folds the luminous flux passed through the first lens group toward a direction along a second optical axis that is substantially perpendicular to the first optical axis and second to fifth lens groups disposed on the second optical axis. At the end of the operation, while the first lens group is driven in a direction of the prism along the first optical axis, the second to the fourth lens groups are driven to an initial angle of view position where these lens groups are to be present at the start of the operation. Thereby, an imaging apparatus whose chassis is very thin and that can realize a high pixel counter and a large magnification, while enabling the speeding-up of the starting operation and the ending operation, can be provided.
