  • Publication number: 20060137867
Abstract: An exhaust gas heat exchanger has a tank, laminated exhaust gas tubes where the exhaust gas flows, a cooling water inlet pipe and a cooling water outlet pipe. The cooling water flows into the tank and flows through water passages between adjacent exhaust gas tubes and between an inner wall of the tank and an outermost exhaust gas tube. Ribs are formed on the exhaust gas tubes so as to lead the cooling water after colliding with an inner wall toward an upstream side of the exhaust gas tubes to prevent the cooling water from being stuck. Otherwise, spaces between an inner wall of a casing and the exhaust gas tubes are regulated to keep the flow rate of the cooling water in the casing so that the cooling water is prevented from being boiled locally by slow flow rate of the cooling water.

  • Patent number: 7037810
Abstract: An atmosphere of an inert gas inside a chamber room in a chamber apparatus is replaced with an outside air by opening a discharge passage in the chamber room and by closing a gas supply passage for supplying the inert gas. The outside air is thus forcibly sent to the chamber room to thereby replace the inert gas remaining inside the chamber room with the outside air.

  • Patent number: 6976530
Abstract: A profile of the casing 20 is formed into a circular pipe shape, and the two gas coolers 10a, 10b are integrated into one body so that the longitudinal directions of the respective gas coolers can be substantially parallel with each other. Due to the above structure, it is possible to make the coolant flow smoothly in the casing 20 and stagnation of the coolant seldom occurs. Accordingly, as boiling of the coolant can be suppressed, it is possible to prevent the heat transfer coefficient from being remarkably deteriorated. Further, it is possible to suppress the generation of cracks, in the tubes 11, which are caused by heat stress.

  • Publication number: 20050233723
Abstract: An RF mixer includes a plurality of submixers coupled to a single input transistor pair and a single tail current source. An input LO signal is divided into multiple individual waveforms, each having a different phase. The phase differences are even in that the phase difference between any two time-adjacent individual waveforms is approximately equal to the phase difference between any other two time-adjacent individual waveforms. The submixers are appropriately scaled so that the individual waveforms, when summed, create a piecewise linear LO signal. The submixers also combine the individual waveforms with an input baseband signal to produce an output signal or to produce a baseband signal from an input mixed signal. In order to reduce noise in the system, only one submixer is active at any time. Further, polarities of some individual waveforms are reversed so that to avoid signal cancellation when by combining waveforms of opposite polarities.

  • Publication number: 20050151804
Abstract: A function liquid supply apparatus has a function liquid tank and a pressure adjustment valve. The pressure adjustment valve includes a primary chamber for receiving the function liquid from the function liquid tank, a secondary chamber communicated with the primary chamber through a communication flow passage, and a diaphragm forming one face of the secondary chamber and exposed to atmosphere such that atmospheric pressure received by the diaphragm serves as a reference adjustment pressure to control the fluid flow through the communication flow passage. The apparatus also has a connecting tube for connecting the function liquid tank to the function liquid droplet ejection head through the pressure adjustment valve. The function liquid tank and the pressure adjustment valve are mounted on the carriage.

  • Patent number: 6820682
Abstract: A heat exchanger includes fins (111) having a plurality of sets of two louvres (111c) substantially triangular in shape which are formed in such a manner that the distance from a flat plate portion (111a) increases progressively downstream in the gas flow direction. The two louvres (111c) of each set are arranged inwardly slanted along the gas flow direction, so that a vertical swirl is generated to draw the gas flow between the louvres (111c). The gas flowing in the vicinity of the flat plate portion (111a) and the gas flowing in the vicinity of a vertical plate portion (111b) are thus accelerated. As a result, the heat conductivity of the gas and the fins (111) is improved and the particulate matter attached on the surface of the fins (111) can be blown off, thereby preventing the clogging of the fins (111).

  • Patent number: 6595274
Abstract: An exhaust gas heat exchanger has a tank, laminated plural exhaust gas tubes disposed in the tank, a cooling water inlet pipe and a cooling water outlet pipe. The exhaust gas from a combustion engine flows into the exhaust gas tubes to exchange heat with the cooling water flowing in the tank. The core plates, which seal the tank at its both ends, are folded toward bonnets that are disposed at the both sides of the tank. The inlet pipe or the outlet pipe is disposed on the tank close to the core plate so that the cooling water can flow near the core plate in the tank so as to be prevented from being stuck near the core plate.
