  • Patent number: 6413090
Abstract: A simulation rider transporting apparatus includes a seat having means for constraining an attitude of a rider mounted on a first base and having a second base positioned under the first base. Elevation means for elevating the first base include two cranks which are arranged opposite to each other between the first and the second base. Each of the cranks has crank arms with each crank arm having one end coupled to the second base. A crank rod is provided for coupling the other end of each crank arm to the first base. Drive means are provided for changing a relative angle between the two crank arms to a predetermined value and for holding the changed relative angle.

  • Patent number: 6409509
Abstract: A VR motion producing apparatus includes a dynamic object to be controlled, a motion base having a finite stroke and motion model converting means for converting in a real time a motion model of a dynamic object to be controlled which is moved within a virtual reality space constituted by computer graphics into another motion model of the motion base having a finite stroke. The motion model converting means includes means for converting coordinate data of the motion model of a dynamic object to be controlled into coordinate data of the motion model of the motion base.

  • Publication number: 20020012247
Abstract: A lighting device has an LED light source and a lens. The lens includes a light emitting surface arranged substantially parallel to a wall of a container when the device is attached to the wall, and a first light receiving surface. The first light receiving surface receives light that is emitted from the LED light source in a direction slanted with respect to the light emitting surface, and takes a concave surface configured such that a distance of the first light receiving surface to the light emitting surface increases from one end to the other end of the lens. The LED light source is disposed while being confronted with one end part of the lens.

  • Patent number: 6304818
Abstract: In a vehicular navigation system, a computer retrieves from a memory four successive road coordinate points representing a road configuration. It calculates interpolated coordinate points by using a B-spline function based on the retrieved coordination points, and calculates radii r of curvature at the interpolated coordinates points. It then detects road curves and directions thereof based on the calculated radii of curvature. The detected curves are informed on a road map displayed on a display device from a speaker.
