Abstract: A waste material shredder having a pair of counter-rotating cutter rollers with mutually meshing cutter disks mounted thereon, and fixed spacer members separating the cutter disks. Sheets of waste material are shredded into small chips by the action of sharp protruding teeth on the cutter disks which punch transverse slits and by subsequent shearing action between adjacent opposing cutter disks. Jamming of the shredder due to build-up of chips between the spacers is eliminated by a special configuration of the cutter disks, with chip clearance protrusions being formed between the teeth which act to completely remove the cut chips from the shredder, thereby overcoming a basic problem with prior art "cross-cut" type shredders.

Abstract: A document shredder having first and second rotary cutting disks alternatively arranged and held in shredding engagement with one another to shred waste material into strips, first spacer members disposed in first gaps formed between the first rotary cutting disks, and second spacer members disposed in second gaps formed between the second rotary cutting disks. The first stationary cutting members have cutting edges held in shredding engagement with outer peripheries of the second rotary cutting disks in the first gaps to cut the strips into chip fragments in the first gaps. The second spacer members have cutting edges held in shredding engagement with outer peripheries of the first rotary cutting disks in the second gaps to cut the strips into chip fragments in the second gaps.

Abstract: An electrically driven desk-top shredder which comprises a housing, a drive motor secured within said housing, and a shredding mechanism driven by said drive motor. The shredding mechanism comprises a pair of rotary shafts driven in mutually opposite directions by said motor, a plurality of rotary disks mounted on said rotary shafts and having a plurality of shredding blade about the outer periphery thereof, and a plurality of spacer members each having at least one cutting edge that engages with the shredding plate of a respective rotary disk in a gap formed between a pair of adjacent rotary disks.

Abstract: An automatic document disintegrator has a stand-by chamber into which waste documents to be processed are placed and a paper feed mechanism having engaging members for feeding to a shredding section the waste documents placed in said stand-by chamber. The stand-by chamber is divided by detachable partitioning members into a plurality of compartments corresponding to the sizes of the waste documents, and the engaging members project into each of the compartments and simultaneously feed a prescribed number of sheets of the waste documents placed in each of the compartments to the shredding section in a batch-wise manner.

The minuting device includes a housing having a conical surface formed with cutting teeth, and a conical rotary body formed with cutting teeth in engagement the cutting teeth of the housing.

Abstract: A tool holder including a holder body having a retaining bore for slidably accommodating a bar-type tip. A tapered bore is provided in concentric relationship with the retaining bore, and wedge means is inserted within the tapered bore. The wedge means is movable in the axial direction thereof; whereby the wedge means is adapted to be brought into clamping engagement with the outer periphery of the bar-type tip.
