  • Patent number: 7428063
Abstract: An overlay measurement apparatus can judge whether an overlay displacement found from an image is accurate. It has a first measuring unit that captures images of first and second marks formed in different layers of a substrate and finds an overlay displacement between the two marks based on the images formed with light with a measurement wavelength range, a second measuring unit that captures the images of the two marks formed with light with an evaluation wavelength range different from the measurement wavelength range and finds the overlay displacement between the marks based on the images formed with the light with the evaluation wavelength range, and a calculation unit that calculates an index for accuracy of the overlay displacement in the measurement wavelength range based on the overlay displacements in the measurement and evaluation wavelength ranges found by the first and second measuring unit.

  • Publication number: 20080186547
Abstract: As a result of the light from a plurality of point light sources located at an identical position being refracted at a surface of a color correction prism at the time of exposure, the chromatic aberration occurring as a result of the light (for example, image light) directed via a refractive surface of the optical system used at the time of reconstruction to the viewer's pupil being refracted at this refractive surface is corrected for. Moreover, at least two of another set of a plurality of point light sources are arranged at such positions as to provide angles of incidence commensurate with the deviation between them of the ratio between exposure wavelength and use wavelength.

  • Patent number: 7385742
Abstract: An image display apparatus has: a display element for displaying an image; a light source section for supplying an illumination light to the display element; a reflection type hologram for diffracting and reflecting the illumination light so as to guide the illumination light to the display element; and an eyepiece optical system for guiding an image light from the display element to an eye of a viewer so as to provide an enlarged virtual image of the image. The reflection type hologram has diffusing properties. Since the reflection type hologram diffuses the illumination light, an incident angle of the illumination light with respect to the display element is widened to a certain extent. Since the display element does not change a propagating direction of a light ray, a propagating direction of the image light is widened similarly to widening of the incident angle, thereby enlarging the observation pupil.

  • Publication number: 20080130463
Abstract: Information light modulated and emitted by a modulation element is led to a recording medium through a Fourier transform optical system and an optical path shifter. An interference image is recorded on the recording medium by interference of the information light and reference light. A deflection unit of the optical path shifter has a pair of prisms. Optical path of information light transmitted through the respective prisms are shifted in parallel in a direction perpendicular to an optical axis of the Fourier transform optical system. By rotating the deflection unit around the optical axis, it is possible to shift the optical path of the information light around the optical axis while shifting the optical path in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis. Therefore, it is unnecessary to perform complicated control and it is possible to multiply record an interference image accurately with an information recording apparatus having a simple structure.

  • Publication number: 20070188837
Abstract: A first HOE and a second HOE are respectively arranged on two opposite faces of an optical waveguide member. The first HOE diffracts light incident from the outside on the optical waveguide member such that the light is then totally reflected inside the optical waveguide member and is thereby directed to the second HOE. The second HOE diffracts, according to the diffraction efficiency thereof, part of the light incident thereon after being guided inside the optical waveguide member such that this part of the light is then emitted to the outside substantially parallel to the light incident on the optical waveguide member, and the second HOE simultaneously totally reflects the rest of the light incident thereon. The second HOE repeats such emission and total reflection. The first and second HOEs each have interference fringes with n different pitches (where n is a natural number equal to or greater than two) to diffract light of n different wavelengths at substantially equal angles.
