  • Publication number: 20060055887
Abstract: It is made possible to view a high-resolution clear stereoscopic image from any direction without taking the projection timing of two-dimensional images into consideration. First and second polygonal mirrors each including mirrors arranged in a ring form around a rotation axis of a screen are disposed. An electronic projector is disposed on an extended line of the rotation axis of the screen so as to be opposed to mirror surfaces of the polygonal mirrors. The electronic projector emits concentrically arranged first and second frame image groups each including frame images arranged in a ring form. The first and second frame image groups are reflected respectively by the first and second polygonal mirrors and projected onto the rotating screen. As the screen rotates, each of the first and second image groups is projected onto the screen and displayed in order from frame image to frame image.

  • Publication number: 20050259087
Abstract: A display unit with a touch panel to move a touch-driven member such as a functional button to a desired position through a touch operation. By touching a draggable icon displayed on a screen with a finger, the icon is changed in color to indicate that the user can drag the icon. Then, by pushing the icon, the icon is changed in size and color to indicate that the user can drag the icon. As by reducing the pushing force to touch on the icon, and moving the finger, the icon is dragged following the finger. As by pushing the icon with the finger at a predetermined position, the icon is set at this position and changed in size and color. When releasing the finger from the icon, the icon is settled at this position.

  • Patent number: 6967695
Abstract: The field of view of a video camera is set to include electric appliances such as a refrigerator, TV set, air conditioner and lamp installed within a room. When the user operates a remote controller to emit a visible laser beam toward a controlable range including these electric appliances set within this field of view, and designate a certain one of the appliances by the resulting pointer within the controlable range, the video camera for extracting only the visible laser beam of a wave length picks up this pointer, and a control box detects the position of the pointer within the controlable range from the output of the camera so that the appliance designated by this pointer can be detected and remotely controlled by use of the remote controller.

  • Publication number: 20050185825
Abstract: Projector units in a table display a content list, a content selected by the content list and the like, on screens. Infrared rays are uniformly irradiated to the screens from a plurality of infrared LED's. A camera unit images the silhouette of an object touching the screens to judge whether the silhouette is formed by a pointing member such as a fingertip for touching the content list or by an object other than the pointing member. If it is judged that the pointing member such as a fingertip touches the screens, a content menu is selected from the content list.

  • Publication number: 20050183023
Abstract: An individual information screen is displayed for each of operators on the same table surface and it is possible to surely acquire shared information required for conversation between the operators. The data on each of individual information screens cannot be viewed by the other operators. A shared information screen and a plurality of individual information screens are displayed in a display surface arranged on a table surface. The individual information screens are used by each operator and display individual information on each of the operators. Among the individual information displayed on each individual information screen, those which can be viewed by the other operators may be displayed as shared information on the shared screen by a predetermined operation on the respective individual information screen. It becomes possible to display the individual information screens at predetermined positions at arbitrary positions on the table surface.

  • Publication number: 20040152060
Abstract: A program and a system for judging the learning conditions of each user from behavior information or living body information of the user, and for evaluating contents or lesson details used for learning. A change of concentration during learning is judged from a result of a blood flow rate measured in time series by a near infrared measuring device. Further, the result of the judgment and a result of analysis of user's behavior (image recognition, voice recognition and instrument input operation event) are analyzed synthetically. Thus, the change of attention of the user is extracted, and the learning conditions of the user are judged. True learning conditions of the user can be grasped in real time, and the learning contents or the lesson details can be evaluated. Further, the result of the evaluation can be reflected on the next lesson so as to enhance the learning effect.

  • Publication number: 20040108995
Abstract: There is provided a display unit including a touch panel disposed on a display screen of a display panel to detect a touch position of a pointing device, operation being conducted by touching a touch operation member displayed on the screen. The display unit includes a sensor for sensing a pushing pressure caused when touching the touch operation member, and a control section for conducting first processing concerning the touch operation member pushed by the pointing device when the pressure sensed by the sensing unit satisfies a first predetermined pressure condition, and conducting second processing concerning the touch operation member, when the pushing pressure has changed from the first condition to a second one. Upon the change from the first condition to the second one, a function of moving the screen in a direction of pushing pressure caused by the pointer is executed by the second processing.

  • Publication number: 20040031049
Abstract: Multi-camera signal distribution conducted by a plurality of broadcasters has various problems of charging, video switching and copyright from the user's viewpoint. In order to solve these problems, first, a charging unit is provided for charging at a measured-rate charging to the assessment price of contents. Secondly, a program scramble is used to encrypt the whole service and a show scramble to encrypt each show, or each channel, thus making it possible to offer service according to the conditions of a contract the viewer made. Third, a show selection unit is provided to select shows on a show selection guide picture displayed on the screen of a communication terminal that has a remote control function. Use of this charging system could prevent the total amount of charging from increasing even if channels to view are frequently changed.
