  • Publication number: 20010020454
Abstract: A two-stroke internal combustion engine having an air control arrangement which controls scavenging air flow during rapid engine acceleration to optimize the acceleration and maximum power output of the engine while maintaining low exhaust emissions from the engine. Desirably, the air control arrangement may comprise a valve that throttles the air passage to one half or less of its total flow area at a medium engine load or less and completely or fully opens at a medium engine load or more of the engine. Normally, the air control valve opens in unison with the throttle valve, but during rapid acceleration of the engine the air control valve opens later or more slowly than the throttle valve to control the supply of scavenging air to the combustion chamber of the engine thereby enhancing rapid acceleration of the engine.

  • Patent number: 6220702
Abstract: The ink bag is structured as follows: To the respective long side portions (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b) of a rectangular-shaped, thermally fusible first film forming the surface portions (1, 2) of the ink bag, there are attached, by thermal fusion, the long side portions of a rectangular-shaped, thermally fusible second film forming the side surface portions (3, 4) of the ink bag and having lower rigidity than the first film to thereby form a cylindrical body. The one-side short side portions (1c, 2c) of the surface portions of the ink bag are attached together by thermal fusion to form a bag body. An ink supply hole forming member (5) is attached by thermal fusion to the other-side short side portions of the surface portions of the ink bag. In the four corners of the ink bag, there are formed band-shaped connecting portions (6 to 9) each starting from one of the two mutually adjoining sides of the ink bag and reaching the other of the two sides.

  • Patent number: 6125853
Abstract: A flavor generation article including a pipe incorporating a heat reservoir and a formed body serving as a flavor generation medium. The pipe is inserted in an insertion hole of a connection plug, and the connection plug is mounted in a mount hole of a socket. The socket has first and second terminals respectively connected to the two terminals of a power supply. The heat reservoir and formed body in the pipe are heated by a coil heater disposed in the connection plug. When the heater maintains a predetermined temperature for a predetermined period of time, a projection of the mount hole is thermally deformed to be retreated. The connection plug is moved from a mount position by the action of the potential-restoration force of a coil spring and projects from a mount hole integrally with the pipe.
