    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state to use for communications with a network entity after switching between TCI modes (e.g., a joint TCI state mode and a separate TCI states mode for uplink transmission and downlink reception). A UE may autonomously switch between the TCI modes based on a trigger event, and may send an indication to a network entity of the trigger event prior to communicating. A UE may identify a TCI configuration with unconfigured power control parameters. The UE may determine a common power control configuration for communicating with a network entity based on applying a rule to the TCI configuration to determine the power control parameters.

A device may precode a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) sequence by applying a single discrete Fourier transform (DFT) to the PTRS sequence. The device may map the DFT precoded PTRS sequence to a subset of resources of a set of resources, and may transmit a signal carrying the DFT precoded PTRS sequence. Additionally or alternatively, the device may receive a signal that includes a DFT precoded PTRS sequence, demap the DFT precoded PTRS sequence to a subset of resources of a set of resources, decode the DFT precoded PTRS by applying a single inverse DFT (IDFT) to the DFT precoded PTRS sequence, estimate a phase error based on the decoding, and apply a phase error correction to a set of additional symbols associated with the signal based on the estimated phase error.

The accumulation may be based on any of a CBR, a CR, and/or a feedback rate. A base station may measure interference on an access link of the base station and transmit a side link parameter that controls accumulation of a value at a transmitting device for the transmission of sidelink communication based on the measured interference.
