    Abstract: A UE obtains a channel occupancy time (COT) for a set of resources on a sidelink (SL) in an unlicensed spectrum through a channel access procedure. The UE determines whether a frequency division multiplexing (FDM) transmission scheme is utilized for a SL transmission on the sidelink in the COT. The UE selects a cyclic prefix extension (CPE) starting position prior to an initial symbol containing the SL transmission. The UE selects the default CPE starting position as the CPE starting position when the FDM transmission scheme is utilized. The UE randomly selects the CPE starting position from a subset of a set of all candidate CPE starting positions based on an L1 priority of the SL transmission when the FDM transmission scheme is not utilized. The UE transmits a CPE at the selected CPE starting position and performs the SL transmission after the CPE transmission.

    Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE obtains a number (N) of transmissions of a sidelink synchronization signal block (S-SSB) with repetitions in a frequency domain. The UE obtains a gap in the frequency domain between two adjacent transmissions of the N transmissions. The UE maps the N S-SSBs into N sets of resources in which two adjacent sets are separated by the gap. The N sets of resources overlap in time domain. The UE performs the N transmissions of the S-SSB using the N sets of resources.

If it is determined that the individual likely needs roadside assistance, the system can proactively contact the individual to see if roadside assistance is desired, and if so, initiates roadside assistance. The system also can provide helpful information, such as safety information, and/or automatically contact other individuals to alert them of the roadside event and the location of the individual.
