  • Publication number: 20240202979
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for temporally predictive coding of three-dimensional (3D) dynamic point cloud attributes. A first frame and a second frame of point cloud data are accessed. The point cloud data points include 3D spatial coordinates and one or more graphic attributes. A block tree data structure comprising a plurality of blocks is generated based on a tree partitioning of the second frame of point cloud data. Matching block pairs between the first frame and the second frame are identified from the plurality of blocks based on block-wise searching. Frequency-domain projections are generated for each matching block pair via a graph Fourier transform (GFT) algorithm. A bitstream of motion-compensated residuals is generated based on differences in the frequency-domain projections for each matching block pair.

  • Publication number: 20240205464
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for configuring adaptive streaming of content items (e.g., extended reality experiences, or any videos, including 360° videos), and selecting a version of the content item based on desired content comfort rating(s) which may be determined based on monitoring discomfort trends of a user. A determination is made of whether the discomfort trend exceeds a threshold, and if so, a version of the same content item that is rated for the desired discomfort rating is used, where the selected version is more comfortable for the user than the originally scheduled content item. Alternatively, the user's actual discomfort is measured during consumption of content item and used to select a version of the content that is more comfortable. In a live setting, specific enhancement of the content item can be selected, such as view from a specific camera, an angle of the camera, zoomed in/out image, etc.

  • Patent number: 12015793
Abstract: Methods and systems for frame rate scalability are described. Support is provided for input and output video sequences with variable frame rate and variable shutter angle across scenes, or for input video sequences with fixed input frame rate and input shutter angle, but allowing a decoder to generate a video output at a different output frame rate and shutter angle than the corresponding input values. Techniques allowing a decoder to decode more computationally-efficiently a specific backward compatible target frame rate and shutter angle among those allowed are also presented.

  • Patent number: 12015786
Abstract: Given a sequence of images in a first codeword representation, methods, processes, and systems are presented for integrating reshaping into a next generation video codec for encoding and decoding the images, wherein reshaping allows part of the images to be coded in a second codeword representation which allows more efficient compression than using the first codeword representation. A variety of architectures are discussed, including: an out-of-loop reshaping architecture, an in-loop-for intra pictures only reshaping architecture, an in-loop architecture for prediction residuals, and a hybrid in-loop reshaping architecture. Syntax methods for signaling reshaping parameters, and image-encoding methods optimized with respect to reshaping are also presented.

  • Patent number: 12010123
Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media, software, and apparatuses may monitor consumer information in order to determine a probability of a data breach associated with a customer based on an online presence of the customer. The probability of a data breach may be used to present metrics to a consumer and/or a service provider. Further, the consumer may be presented with information indicating what factors contribute to the probability of a data breach, as well as information regarding how to reduce those factors.

  • Publication number: 20240185791
Abstract: A display panel and a display device are disclosed. By setting numbers of effective pulses of first start signals in both a writing frame and a holding frame of one display period to be plural, a plurality of first strobe driving circuits connected in cascade are allowed to output a plurality of first strobe signals multiple times to adjust a bias voltage of a first transistor of a plurality of pixel driving circuits. Therefore, the display panel can display at a similar light-emitting brightness in both the writing frame and the holding frame, thereby improving a flickering problem of the display panel.

  • Publication number: 20240185776
Abstract: The present invention provides a display control method of a display panel, a display module, and a display device. Pulse widths of first pulses corresponding to non-display phases in one frame period in an emission start signal are at least partially different, so that pixel driving circuits adjust light-emitting durations of light-emitting devices corresponding to each display phase according to emission control signals. Accordingly, a display brightness of each light-emitting device can be adjusted within one frame period, and a flickering problem can be alleviated.

  • Publication number: 20240182332
Abstract: Precipitation or scaling may occur when combining produced water from multiple sources, such as when one produced water contains dissolved calcium ions and another produced water contains dissolved sulfate anions. The tendency toward precipitation or scaling may be decreased by treating the produced water containing dissolved sulfate anions. Such methods may comprise: providing a first produced water comprising dissolved sulfate anions; treating the first produced water with a metal salt capable of forming an insoluble metal sulfate, thereby forming a metal sulfate precipitate and a treated produced water; separating the metal sulfate precipitate from the treated produced water; and after separating the metal sulfate precipitate, mixing the treated produced water with at least one second produced water to obtain a mixed produced water, the at least one second produced water containing dissolved calcium ions, and the mixed produced water having a saturation ratio for calcium sulfate of less than 1.
