  • Patent number: 7167899
Abstract: The Web customer contact system is based on distributed execution of service logic programs that can be dynamically altered based on changing business needs. The distributed and dynamic program modification makes the Web customer contact system scalable and customization to the most demanding business operation needs. For example, existing workflow based GUI programming tool, which only support centralized specification, down load and execution of routing rules for incoming calls in a contact center. The new system WCC system can allow user to specify a set of service logic program (SLP) can be dynamically attached to any distributed “addressable entities” in the WCC system. The addressable entities can be a user, an agent, an email box, a work group, IVR system, or a department web site. The addressable entities can be located anywhere that can be reached by internet address (an URL or other types of identities).

  • Publication number: 20070015365
Abstract: In one embodiment, the disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for inserting dummy patterns in sparsely populated portions of a metal layer. The dummy pattern counters the effects of variations of pattern density in a semiconductor layout which can cause uneven post-polish film thickness. An algorithm according to one embodiment of the disclosure determines the size and location of the dummy patterns based on the patterns in the metal layer by first surrounding the metal structure with small dummy pattern and then filling any remaining voids with large dummy patterns.

  • Patent number: 7149753
Abstract: System and methods for communicating tracking information about tagged items. A tagged item is a tangible item that carries a self-identifying tag. The tracking information can be stored in the tag or in a document that is accessible through an item tracking system. The tracking information can be accessible by multiple consumers having different levels of access. The methods include methods for masking redundancies in the tracking information, filtering the tracking information, and controlling access to the tracking information.

  • Publication number: 20060208885
Abstract: A system includes a memory for storing a predetermined path through a plurality of data reading points in a auto-ID system, a plurality of auto-ID tracking devices operable to track an asset at the data reading points, and a processor. The processor is operable to receive data provided from the tracking devices about progress of the asset through the auto-ID system and operable to determine, based on received data indicating that the asset has passed through fewer than all of the plurality of data reading points in the predetermined path, whether or not the progress of asset through the auto-ID system has followed the predetermined path.

  • Publication number: 20060195473
Abstract: An auto-identification system is described that includes a plurality of distributed auto-id nodes that are operable to track physical objects as they move through an operation of an enterprise, such as, for example, a supply chain network or a sales network. The auto-id nodes are distributed across sites of the network, and are in communication with enterprise application systems and/or data acquisition systems such as RFID readers or sensor devices. By focusing on their respective sites, the auto-id nodes minimize the amount of data tracked by their respective enterprise applications. The auto-id node may include a component manager that dynamically loads components for use in the auto-id node, without disrupting an operation of the auto-id node. For example, the component manager may be operable to add a new adaptor component that communicates with a new type of device, without needing to stop and restart the auto-id node.

Further, the auto-id nodes include rules governing operations on the physical object(s). When an auto-id node receives information regarding a tracking event experienced by the physical object, then the rules may be executed to access known data regarding the physical object, and thereby determine whether the tracking event matches an event that was expected to occur as a result of the operation of the enterprise.

  • Publication number: 20060149605
Abstract: A current state of an item being tracked by an item-tracking system may be determined using prior state information about the item. To ensure proper temporal order of the state information, software events triggered by physical events associated with the item are received from a reader at an event interpretation system. A database or queue within the event interpretation system holds the software events for a delay time determined by a maximum transmission delay time of the software events. A sorter within the event interpretation system orders the software events relative to one another so as to correspond to an order of the physical events. An association model of the event interpretation system may determine state information related to the item for storage in a state information database. Accordingly, system exceptions in the item tracking system may be reduced, and an accuracy and reliability of the system may be improved.

The auto-id nodes are distributed across sites of the network, and are in communication with enterprise application systems and/or data acquisition systems such as RFID readers or sensor devices. Further, a simulator may be associated with one or more of the auto-id nodes. In this case, the simulator may project certain movements of the physical objects through an environment of an auto-id node, and then feed corresponding data to the auto-id node. In this way, the auto-id node may be tested and optimized, without requiring actual, physical testing.

  • Publication number: 20060112357
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for modeling an electronic element. Sensitivity of an output current to an input voltage without noise is determined. Output current is calculated in the event noise is present at an input using sensitivity. An output voltage is derived from the output current. • Patent number: 7027515
Abstract: An MPEG decoder verifies a previous video packet by calculating the sum-of-the-absolute differences (SAD) for macroblock boundaries. When a macroblock counter goes off count, the macroblocks can be placed in the wrong relative locations in a frame. Image shapes are sliced when macroblock misplacement occurs, creating many new bisecting edges along macroblock boundaries. These image discontinuities along macroblock boundaries have a large SAD for pixels on either side of the macroblock boundary. The SAD is generated along the left and upper edges of a current macroblock, and a maximum SAD of all macroblocks in the previous video packet is generated. When the maximum SAD is above a threshold, the macroblock counter is likely to be in error, and the macroblock counter is reloaded with the header macroblock number from the next packet header. When the SAD is below threshold, a mis-matching header macroblock number is ignored.

  • Patent number: 6901304
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for providing multiple enterprises real-time access to information about items in a supply chain. Tags bound to items are read and information read from the tags and location information about the tags is provided by at least two enterprises and used to maintain disposition information about the items, which is made visible to enterprises in the supply chain. The tags can be radio-frequency identification tags having each having an ePC (electronic product code) as unique tag identifier. Visibility of the disposition information can be controlled through authorization. Visible information can include relationships between particular items and business documents such as order and shipping documents. With shipping documents visible, information read from item tags can be used to confirm the identify or completeness of a shipment.

  • Publication number: 20050036726
Abstract: The invention is to provide a ring body and supporting structure of vibratile gyroscope. The ring body is a thin sheet ring body having axial height. The supporting structure is provided for supporting the ring body. It is characterized that the supporting structure is arranged at two side ends in axial direction of the ring body. The supporting structures provide axial and radial supporting forces to restrain the major vibratile ring body, such that it has better sensitivity and capability to resist environmental vibration and noise. Additionally, a reinforcing structure surrounding the ring body is arranged at the inner or outer wall of the ring body to raise the partial rigidity of the ring body and maintain an elliptical resonance mode.
