  • Patent number: 12328666
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. Network entities that are capable of full duplex (FD) communication may exhibit reduced latency and increased throughput, among other performance benefits, as compared to half duplex (HD) network entities. Accordingly, in some aspects, a network entity may signal to a user equipment (UE) a duplex capability of a cell and/or one or more KPI metrics associated with the duplex capability of the cell during a cell selection process. The UE may perform the cell selection process based at least in part on the duplex capability of and/or the at least one KPI metric, thereby utilizing performance benefits of FD cells or the like. • Patent number: 12328730
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, which may be otherwise known as a user equipment (UE) may determine a set of repetitions of a first uplink data channel associated with a first directional beam and a set of repetitions of a second uplink data channel associated with a second directional beam different from the first directional beam. The UE may multiplex an uplink transmission associated with an uplink control channel with one or both of the first uplink data channel and the second uplink data channel, based on the set of repetitions of the first uplink data channel and the set of repetitions of the second uplink data channel. As a result, the UE may transmit the multiplexed uplink transmission on one or both of the first uplink data channel and the second uplink data channel.

  • Patent number: 12328796
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a UE transmits an indication of capability of the UE to support one or more reference signal (RS) types as a quasi co-location (QCL) source RS for one or more transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states. A base station receives the indication, and determine a TCI state with a QCL source RS based on the indication of the UE capability. The base station transmits, to the UE, a designation of the TCI state with the QCL source RS associated with one or more scheduled communications.

  • Patent number: 12328749
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive sounding reference signal (SRS) resource set configuration information that indicates an aperiodic SRS resource set, an aperiodic downlink reference signal resource associated with the aperiodic SRS resource set, and a slot offset associated with the aperiodic downlink reference signal resource. The UE may receive downlink control information indicating that the aperiodic SRS resource set is triggered and determine a quasi co-location assumption for the aperiodic downlink reference signal resource based on the slot offset associated with the aperiodic downlink reference signal resource. The UE may measure the aperiodic downlink reference signal resource in a slot indicated by the slot offset based on the quasi co-location assumption.

  • Patent number: 12328689
Abstract: Aspects relate to exchanging beam-related information for a repeater device. A network access node may configure a repeater device to transmit multiple synchronization signal blocks using different beams. The network access node may determine the number of beams that the repeater device can use for its operations. A repeater device may indicate how many beams the repeater device supports, how many antenna arrays it has, and a mapping of beam indices to antenna array indices. A repeater device may indicate which beam pairs cannot be used for simultaneous transmission and/or reception and/or which beam groups can be used for simultaneous transmission and/or reception. A network access node may determine which beam pairs the repeater device cannot use for simultaneous transmission and/or reception and/or which beam groups the repeater device can use for simultaneous transmission and/or reception based on signal measurements and/or beam configuration feedback from the repeater device.

  • Patent number: 12328279
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for dynamic updates to beam failure detection (BFD) reference signals (RSs) and path loss RS using medium access control-control element (MAC-CE) or downlink control information (DCI). For example, the quasi co-location (QCL) of periodic CSI-RS may be dynamically updated by the MAC-CE or DCI when the periodic CSI-RS is for BFD RS. Also, a semi-persistent CSI-RS or aperiodic CSI-RS may act as a BFD RS. An enhanced update procedure may be used to update the path loss RS dynamically using MAC-CE or DCI. In some cases, the path loss RS parameters updated via MAC-CE or DCI may overwrite the previously RRC configured path loss RS parameters. In another example, if the path loss RS is not configured, then the path loss RS by default may be the spatial relation reference signal of the corresponding uplink beam.

  • Patent number: 12328775
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques may enhance coverage by supporting repetitions of a random access request. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, a synchronization signal block (SSB) message. The UE may measure the SSB message in order to determine signal metric, such as reference signal received power (RSRP). Based on the RSRP of the SSB, the UE may determine to transmit a set of repetitions of a random access request. The UE may then monitor a resource of a downlink control channel for a random access response from the network entity.
