  • Patent number: 7639627
Abstract: The invention relates to a system and method for generating realistic network traffic by replaying captured network traffic using parallelized streams of subtraces. In accordance with one method of the invention, a captured trace of network traffic from a network link is provided. The captured trace is split into a number of subtraces. The subtraces are replayed and then recombined into a recombined trace, wherein the timing of packets in the recombined trace approximates the timing of packets in the captured trace.

  • Patent number: 7541893
Abstract: A duplexing filter suitable for use in a mobile communication system. The filter has a core of dielectric material with several through holes that define resonators. The core has metallized surfaces except for a portion of the top and bottom surfaces. At least one metallized resonator pad surrounds through holes on the top and bottom surfaces. A metallized serpentine region extends from the resonator pad on the bottom surface toward a side surface of the core. The metallized serpentine region causes attenuation of a third harmonic frequency.

  • Publication number: 20080055016
Abstract: Tunable impedance matching networks and tunable diplexer matching systems are provided. A tunable impedance matching network can include an impedance element connected between first and second nodes for communicating signals between the first and second nodes. For example, the impedance element can be a transmission line or an inductor. Further, the matching network can include a first capacitor connected in parallel with the impedance element, wherein the first capacitor is tunable. The matching network can also include a second capacitor comprising first and second terminals. The first terminal of the second capacitor can be connected to the first node. The second terminal of the second capacitor can be connected to a local voltage reference for the first node. A third capacitor comprises first and second terminals. The first terminal of the second capacitor can be connected to the second node. The second and third capacitors can also be tunable.

  • Publication number: 20080003412
Abstract: A cover for a mobile device includes a substrate with a surface including a patterned surface portion and a non-patterned surface portion. An ink coating is formed on the patterned surface portion of the substrate. A metal coating system is electroplated on the non-patterned surface portion of the substrate. The ink coating is recessed relative to the metal coating system.

  • Patent number: 7257812
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for managing execution of an application according to an application lifecycle. The application lifecycle is managed by an application manager through a set of commands that enable the application manager to cause the application to enter one of a plurality of states. In addition, the application can communicate with the application manager to indicate that the application cannot change its state as the application manager has requested or to request that the application manager change the state of the application to a particular state.

  • Patent number: 6986155
Abstract: Through the association of an IP address with each data stream, a single system may be used by a network card or a tuner to select multicast IP data. Each data stream is identified by a unique IP address. More particularly, a locator adapted for identifying a data stream is associated with one of a plurality of data streams. The locator is then mapped to an IP address. When it is determined that the IP address corresponds to a data stream locator associated with a data stream, a tuner is instructed to read the data stream associated with the data stream locator. However, when it is determined that the IP address does not correspond to a data stream locator, a network card identified by the IP address is instructed to read data from the associated network. Since each data stream may be associated with a plurality of multicast IP addresses, a multicast group address is specified to identify the appropriate multicast IP data transmitted in the data stream.

  • Patent number: 6762798
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for creating and manipulating a video window on a display associated with a television are disclosed. A set of parameters identifying a source region and a destination location in a source coordinate system are obtained where the source coordinate system includes a source origin at a location of the source coordinate system. A destination origin is set at a location of a destination coordinate system. The source region is then translated to a location within the destination coordinate system equivalent to the destination location in the source coordinate system.

  • Patent number: 6701334
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for loading and unloading classes associated with an application are disclosed. A class loader adapted for loading classes associated with an application is constructed. The class loader is employed to load one or more classes associated with the application such that the class loader maintains a reference to the one or more classes. The class loader for the application is then de-referenced such that the class loader is unreachable.
