Abstract: A device and a method for reducing a smear effect. The device comprises an image sensing module and a smear reduction module. The image sensing module captures an image and optical black data generated from the optical area of the image sensing module. The smear reduction module searches the optical black data generated in the lower boundary of the optical black area corresponding to which generated in the upper boundary of the optical black area according to coordinates of the optical black data. Thereby, the smear reduction module can compute an offset line representing an offset of the optical black data, and the smear reduction module compensates the smear effect occurring in the image.

  • Patent number: 8258606
Abstract: A high frequency flip chip package substrate of a polymer is a one-layer structure packaged by a high frequency flip chip package process to overcome the shortcomings of a conventional two-layer structure packaged by the high frequency flip chip package process. The conventional structure not only incurs additional insertion loss and return loss in its high frequency characteristic, but also brings out a reliability issue. Thus, the manufacturing process of a ceramic substrate in the conventional structure still has the disadvantages of a poor yield rate and a high cost.

  • Patent number: 8231027
Abstract: A cover for a container fits with a sliding air tight fit over the container body. A cover air release valve allows escape of air from the container when removing and installing the cover to create a vacuum seal fit. A handle positioned adjacent to the air release valve enables a user to remove and install the cover with a single hand gripping the handle and pressing the air release valve. Protrusions extending from opposite sides of the container sleeve engage mating L-shaped openings in a bottom edge of the cover to lock the cover in place. Special dual sided cradles engage a top of a vacuum sealed container below each cradle and a bottom of a vacuum sealed container above each cradle so that a series of cradles are used to vertically stack a number of vacuum sealed containers.

Abstract: An image processing device including a camera, a discrete signal processor (DSP) and an output device is disclosed. The camera provides image data for the DSP to process. The DSP samples sub-image data to generate a first image processing signal, discrete cosine transforms the first image processing signal to generate a second image processing signal, uses a quantization table to quantize the second image processing signal to generate a third image processing signal, zig-zag scans the third image processing signal to generate a fourth image processing signal, and Huffman codes the fourth image processing signal to generate an output image signal. The DSP adjusts a cut point of a next fourth image processing signal according to the size of the fourth image processing signal so as to control the size of a next output image signal. The output device outputs the output image signal.
