Abstract: An electronic device controlling method and a user registration method are provided. In the electronic device controlling method, when a target device receives a first and a second control commands which are identical, but performed by different users simultaneously or separately, the target device performs a first predetermined operation based on an identity of the user performing the first control command, and performs a second predetermined operation based on an identity of the user performing the second control command. In the user registration method, a user registered identity model corresponding to a user to be registered is established according to identity information of the user, and is mapped to a user profile comprising a relationship between the control commands and the predetermined operations. By acquiring the registered information, the target device is able to perform the user dependent operations.

Abstract: An electrical receptacle connector includes an insulated housing, flexible terminals, and flat terminals. The insulated housing includes a base portion and a tongue portion. The flexible terminals and the flat terminals are held in the base portion and disposed at an upper surface of the tongue portion. The flat terminals are arranged in front of the flexible terminals and include two pairs of signal terminals and a ground terminal between the signal terminals. Each flat terminal includes a flat contact portion, a tail portion, and a body portion between the flat contact portion and the tail portion. The body portion of the ground terminal includes two first widening portions extended outward from two sides thereof. A first distance is defined between each first widening portion and the body portion of the corresponding nearest signal terminal. A second distance is defined between the two signal terminals for each pair thereof.

The communication device may receive incoming information which is intended for receipt by a user, and transmit a request signal responsive to the receiving of the incoming information. Each of the networked devices may receive the request signal, and determine which one of the networked devices is situated to notify the user of the incoming information. The networked device situated to notify the user may proceed to notify the user of the incoming information.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes insulating portions arranged side by side, terminal sets, shield sets, and a casing. Each terminal set includes signal terminals and ground terminals. Each signal/ground terminal includes a fixing section disposed in the insulating portion, an assembling section downwardly stretching from the fixing section to protrude from the insulating portion, and a contacting section forwardly stretching from the fixing section to protrude from the insulating portion. Each shield set including shields is disposed on a lateral surface of the insulating portion. Each shield is spacedly arranged and connected to the ground terminal. Each shield includes a body section having at least one bending section, and a protrusion section protruding from the body section. The body section and the protrusion section shield the assembling section and the contacting section of the signal terminal respectively. It can effectively suppress crosstalk between the signal terminals by the shield sets.

Abstract: A method for displaying SIM card slot information for use in a device including M SIM card slots, each of which may have a SIM card inserted therein or no SIM card inserted therein. The method includes the following steps. A set of predetermined rules are first determined by the device. Statuses of the M SIM card slots corresponding to the set of predetermined rules are then acquired. Information regarding N of the M SIM card slots are displayed on a display unit of the device according to the set of predetermined rules determined by the current associated network and the acquired statuses of the M SIM card slots, where N<M and N>=1.

Abstract: A crosstalk-proof receptacle connector has multiple insulative boards, multiple sets of terminals, multiple sets of shielding plates and an outer casing. The insulative boards are arranged abreast. The sets of the terminals are mounted respectively in the insulative boards. The terminals of each set are classified into signal terminals and grounding terminals. Each set of the shielding plates is mounted on one of two opposite sides of a corresponding insulative board. The shielding plates of each set are spaced apart without contacting one another. Each shielding plate has multiple folding sections capable of interrupting signal noise. The outer casing covers the insulative boards to combine the insulative boards. The sets of the shielding plates decrease signal interference of the receptacle connector and improve signal transmission efficiency and stability.

Abstract: A heat sink includes a base and a removable air guide member. The base includes a thermal plate and two air guide plates fixed to opposite two sides of the thermal plate. An air guide channel is formed between the thermal plate and the two air guide plates. The fins are connected to the thermal plate. One end of each air guide plate bends and extends to form a windshield while another end has a connection portion. The removable air guide member is detachably connected to the base. The removable air guide member includes two vertical plates. One end of each vertical plate is connected to the connection portion while another end bends outward and extends to form a horizontal plate. Thereby, the cooling module and the heat sink can be installed on a motherboard with electronic components arranged densely and may receive maximum airflow.

Abstract: In an air guide heat sink and an air guide cooling module, the air guide heat sink includes a base and a pair of U-shaped air guide members. The base is connected with a plurality of fins. The pair of U-shaped air guide members is detachably connected to the base. The pair of U-shaped air guide members and the base surround and form an air guide channel. Each of the U-shaped air guide members has a vertical plate and two ends of the vertical plate extend towards a direction away from the base and form two horizontal plates. Thereby, the air guide cooling module and the air guide heat sink may be installed on the motherboard with electronic components densely disposed thereon. Additionally, the air guide cooling module and the air guide heat sink may receive maximum airflow.

Abstract: A method for controlling audio playing of an electronic device, an associated apparatus and an associated computer program product are provided, where the method includes: controlling a touch panel of the electronic device to be active, to allow at least one touch gesture input to be received from the touch panel while an audio player application is running on the electronic device, wherein when the at least one touch gesture input is received from the touch panel, a screen of the electronic device is kept turned off; and determining whether a specific touch gesture input of the at least one touch gesture input matches a pre-defined gesture to generate a determining result, and controlling the audio player application to execute a pre-defined command corresponding to the pre-defined gesture based on the determining result.

Abstract: A method for performing data sampling control in an electronic device and an associated apparatus are provided, where the method includes the steps of: detecting whether a data pattern of a received signal of a decision feedback equalizer (DFE) receiver in the electronic device matches a predetermined data pattern, to selectively trigger a data sampling time shift configuration of the DFE receiver; and when the data sampling time shift configuration is triggered, utilizing a phase shift clock, rather than a normal clock corresponding to a normal configuration of the DFE receiver, as an edge sampler clock of an edge sampler in the DFE receiver, to lock onto edge timing of the received signal, and controlling the phase shift clock and the normal clock to have different phases, respectively, to shift data sampling time of the DFE receiver, for performing data sampling in the DFE receiver.

Abstract: A method for IC design is provided. Firstly, an IC design layout having a main feature with an original margin is received. Then, a first modified margin of the main feature is generated; and a first photolithography simulation procedure of the main feature with the first modified margin is performed to generate a first contour having a plurality of curves. Next, an equation of each of the curves is obtained; each equation of the curves is manipulated to obtain a vertex of each of the curves. After that, a first group of target points are assigned to the original margin. Each of the first group of target points respectively corresponds to one of the vertices. Finally, an optical proximity correction (OPC) procedure is performed by using the first group of target points to generate a second modified margin. An apparatus for IC design is also provided.
