  • Publication number: 20160020569
Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulation body, multiple terminals fixed to the insulation body, a conducting sheet fixedly to the insulation body, and a casing framing the insulation body. The conducting sheet includes a fixing portion, an elastic support portion bent and extending from the fixing portion, and a first contact portion goes forward from the elastic support portion and used for buckling a mating connector. The elastic support portion is used for pressing against the casing and forming a supporting point, so that the first contact portion further buckles the mating connector. The distance between the elastic support portion and the first contact portion is less than the distance between the retaining portion and the first contact portion, so that the insertion and removal force arm of the first contact portion is reduced, and the insertion and removal force of the conducting sheet is increased.

  • Patent number: 9225091
Abstract: An electrical connection system includes an electrical connector electrically connected to a chip module, and an adapter disposed on one side of the electrical connector. The chip module laterally extends to form a conducting portion. Two rows of terminals are disposed in the adapter, and form a slot therebetween for the conducting portion to be inserted therein. When the conducting portion is not inserted in the slot, the width of the slot is greater than the thickness of the conducting portion, so that a zero insertion force is required for insertion of the chip module. After the chip module is inserted in the slot, under the effect of an external force, the width of the slot is reduced to an extent that the terminals urge against the conducting portion, which ensures close electrical connection between the terminals and the chip module.
