The hub includes a cylindrical reinforcement ring, a resin ring integrally molded on the outer peripheral surface of the reinforcement ring, and a consecutive portion made of resin that covers one end portion of the reinforcement ring and is continuous with the resin ring. Exposure portions where the one end portion of the reinforcement ring is exposed are formed in the consecutive portion.

Abstract: A tape cassette storing case comprises: a storing case main body, the storing case main body having first and second side surfaces that are opposite to each other; a recess region on the first side surface, the recess region being defined by a step from the first side surface; and a plurality of ribs on the second side surface, wherein when two of the storing case main bodies including first and second main bodies are stacked so that the first side surface in the first main body are superposed on the second side surface in the second main body, the a plurality of ribs in the second main body is regulated by the step of the recess region on the first main body, and the plurality of ribs in the second main body each has an inclined surface with respect to the second side surface in the second main body.

Abstract: A reel includes: a circular cylinder-shaped hub that includes an inner peripheral surface on which a protruding portion that protrudes in a radial direction is formed and an outer peripheral surface around which recording tape is wound; a first flange that is disposed on one end portion of the hub and includes a first extension portion that is welded to the protruding portion; and a second flange that is disposed on the other end portion of the hub and includes a second extension portion that is welded to the protruding portion. The rigidity of the hub can be improved, and the welding strength of the flanges with respect to the hub can also be improved.

First and second cam grooves for guiding an open/close lid which covers the stretched magnetic tape are provided at opposite sides of the cassette case so as to guide first and second slide pins projected from opposite sides of the open/close lid. A biasing member is provided near one of the cam grooves for urging the open/close lid in a closing direction. A gap between an inner face of a curved portion of one of the first cam groove and an outer peripheral face of the first slide pin is different from a gap between an inner face of the curved portion of the second cam groove and the outer peripheral face of the second slide pin.

Abstract: A recording tape cassette which accommodates a reel on which a recording tape is wound. A lock member for locking the reel is rotatably attached at an inner face of a case of the recording tape cassette. The lock member is urged to a reel side thereof, and engages with a gear which is formed at a peripheral edge of a flange of the reel. A guide surface is formed at the lock member such that, at a time when the reel is inserted into the case, the lock member is pushed by the reel and consequently is withdrawn in a direction of releasing locking of the gear. With this structure, an operation of insertion of the reel can be carried out easily, and work efficiency can be improved.

Abstract: In order to provide a recording tape cassette in which a recording tape can run stably even if a non-recording surface side of the recording tape warps, there is provided a recording tape cassette including a guide shaft, around which the recording tape is wound such that the non-recording surface side thereof contacts the guide shaft, for feeding the recording tape to an outside of the recording tape cassette. outside diameter of the guide shaft becames larger the closer it is to a central portion of the guide shaft in an axial direction.

Additionally, at least one of both end faces of each guide roller is surface treated so that the end face is not worn through its contact with the cassette half. Further, an information presenting section for displaying variable information is provided at a location other than label areas of the tape cassette.

The holding hole has a guide surface which, when the case deforms, makes the distal end of the shaft move in a predetermined direction. In accordance with the recording tape cassette, conveying stability of the recording tape trained around on the guide roller can be ensured.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a roller includes: forming a hollow cylindrical body that includes a fully solidified outer peripheral surface and a semi-solidified interior, with an inner peripheral surface swelling inwardly; and pressing the swollen portion of the inner peripheral surface outwardly by pulling an insert die from the semi-solidified cylindrical body, to thereby allow the outer periphery of the cylindrical body to swell outwardly in a barrel-like manner. A primary molded product including a through hole along a central axis is thereby formed, and a secondary resin is injected into the through hole of the primary molded product.
