  • Patent number: 5527417
Abstract: A photo-assisted CVD apparatus including a reaction chamber for storing a substrate, an inlet port for feeding a source gas into the reaction chamber, a light source for radiating light on the source gas fed into the reaction chamber to decompose the source gas upon radiating the light, thereby depositing a film on the substrate, an inlet port for supplying an etching gas into the reaction chamber, and a discharge electrode, arranged above the substrate and having a configuration, surrounding a space above the substrate, for exciting the etching gas.

  • Patent number: 5470213
Abstract: A scroll type compressor has a movable scroll which is supported by a drive shaft by way of an eccentric pin in a housing. The movable scroll engages in an orbital movement for defining a compression chamber with a fixed scroll which is disposed opposite to the movable scroll. The compression chamber decreases in size in accordance with the orbital movement of said movable scroll for compressing gas in the compression chamber. A first ring orbits together with the movable scroll between the movable scroll and the housing, for receiving compressive reaction force acting on the movable scroll. A second ring which is secured to the housing receives the compressive reaction force received by and acting on the ring.

  • Patent number: 5451840
Abstract: Human bodies are shielded from an alternating electric field radiated from a deflection yoke of a cathode-ray tube device to prevent the alternating electric field from adversely affecting the human bodies. For an alternating electric field traveling forward in the direction of a tube axis 28 of a cathode-ray tube, a cone section 1b is formed with a conductive film 17 for shielding an electric field and/or a face panel 2 is formed with a transparent conductive film 21 for shielding an electric field and the transparent conductive film 21 is grounded or an optimum potential is given only to the transparent conductive film 21 for shielding an electric field.

  • Patent number: 5430352
Abstract: A cathode ray tube device capable of providing sufficient shielding effect against leaking alternating electric field while exhibiting high reliability during long use. Alternating electric field generated by a deflection yoke is sufficiently reduced by the shielding effect produced by a conductive film formed on a funnel portion. A gap formed between the conductive film and an insulating sheet provided between the conductive film and the deflection yoke, due to dimensional error, is filled with insulating silicone grease, so as to avoid secular degradation of insulation which otherwise may occur due to accumulation of dust and other matters.

  • Patent number: 5366357
Abstract: The scroll type compressor includes a stationary and orbiting scroll members, of which the spiral elements are interfit at an offset angle to form line contacts defining at least one fluid pocket, and an anti-spin mechanism for causing the orbiting member to orbit within the stationary member. A drive shaft is rotatably supported in a housing, and has an outer end a cylindrical inner end and, depending upon the embodiment, either a crank pin or a sliding guide portion projecting axially inward from its inner end. A drive bush couples the drive shaft to the orbiting scroll member, and has either a circular aperture for receiving the crank pin or an engaging slotted recess for receiving the sliding guide portion, as the case may be, whereby the drive bush is either pivotable or slidable with respect to the drive shaft. A counterweight is mounted on either the crank pin or the sliding guide portion between the drive bush and the drive shaft, and is coupled to the drive bush for conjoint movement therewith.

  • Patent number: 5362218
Abstract: A scroll type compressor comprising mutually mating stationary and movable scroll members, a drive shaft, a counterweight, a slide key extending from the drive shaft, and a drive bush slidably fit on the slide key. The counterweight is immovably fit on the drive shaft. The slide key has a first axis offset from the longitudinal axis of the drive shaft for causing the movable scroll member to revolve around the longitudinal axis of the drive shaft, and a second axis perpendicular to the first axis. In the second form of the compressor, the counterweight has a guide portion having a first axis offset from the longitudinal axis of the drive shaft for causing the movable scroll member to revolve around the longitudinal axis of the drive shaft, and a second axis. The drive bush is slidably fit on the guide portion.
