  • Publication number: 20190241748
Abstract: A coating for pelletized thermoplastic road marking material is provided in which at least one of waxes, silica compounds, and inorganic compounds is provided on the surface of the thermoplastic pellet. The pellet is formed by mixing a binder mixture with a filler mixture, heating the mixed ingredients while mixing into a homogenous molten mixture and then extruding the molten mixture. The extruded material is cooled, cut into individual pellets and then coated. The coating prevents clumping of the pellets and also imparts improved flowability and lower melting point properties. Preferred coatings include micronized polyethylene wax, silicates, silanes, silicones, siliconates, fluoropolymers, calcium carbonate and zeolite.

  • Patent number: 10366103
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a non-transitory machine-readable medium that stores a program. The program receives a query for data from a dataset stored in at least one database instance in a plurality of database instances. The program further determines a set of candidate database instances in the plurality of database instances that stores the dataset. The program also selects a database instance in the set of candidate database instances based on a set of metrics associated with the set of candidate database instances. The program further processes the query using the selected database instance.

  • Patent number: 10366371
Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing service requests. A computer system creates a preliminary compendium comprising building blocks. A building block is a word entity extracted from a text source in a plurality of text sources that are related to a domain of interest. At least a portion of the text sources comprises past service requests. The computer system filters the building blocks in the preliminary compendium based on relevance with respect to the domain of interest to create similarity indicators that form a refined compendium. The computer system analyzes text within a new service request using the past service requests and the refined compendium to generate a ranking of past service requests that ranks the past service requests based on similarity to the new service request. The ranking of past service requests enables the computer system to identify a set of possible resolutions for the new service request.

  • Publication number: 20190199847
Abstract: A calling user initiates a telephonic communication with a receiving user by dialing a phone number of the receiving user in his or her address book. The communication is transmitted from the calling user's device to the receiving user's device through a network that is not using Internet protocol or Internet-based, e.g., Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), Internet Protocol (IP), TCP-IP, or Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). After a number of notifications has passed on the receiving user's device and the receiving user is not able to answer the telephonic communication, a local voicemail recorder will be activated to record and store the telephonic communication for later retrieval by the receiving user. The stored communication is identifier by a sequence of string containing at least one of a name, a telephone number, a storage location, a date-time attribute, and a duration associated with the stored communication.

  • Publication number: 20190167235
Abstract: Front-end circuitry for an ultrasound system is described which comprises a beamformer FPGA integrated circuit, transmit ICs with both pulse transmitters and linear waveform transmitters, transmit control and receiver ICs, and analog-to-digital converter (ADC) ICs. Waveform data for both the linear and pulser transmitters is stored in the transmit control and receiver ICs, saving pins on the FPGA, which is the conventional source of this data. The ADCs couple digital echo data to the FPGA for beamforming over serial bus lines, saving additional FPGA pins over a conventional parallel data arrangement. The inclusion of both pulser and linear waveform transmit capabilities in the transmit ICs enables the use of both types of transmitters in the formation of a multi-mode image, such as use of the pulsers for Doppler beams and linear transmitters for B mode beams in the formation of a colorflow image.

  • Patent number: 10289186
Abstract: Various embodiments of the invention allow to dynamically transition between clock-driven and even-driven circuit elements to enable automatic multi-mode operation to enable low-power and high-throughput applications. In certain embodiments, dynamic transitioning is accomplished through a mode control unit that evaluates input data from a number of sources to determine whether to initiate a transition. Certain embodiments take advantage of dynamic transitioning to allow for energy harvesting in a data gathering phase by switching to high power communication phase as needed. The energy harvesting scheme is particularly suited for battery-operated applications that benefit from a reduction in overall power consumption.
