  • Patent number: 11890895
Abstract: A protector for a wheel is formed from a plurality of segments. Each segment is formed from a synthetic material and has an arcuate distal edge of a first radius, the distal edge forming a lip to engage a distal edge of the wheel. Each segment has at least two spoke adjacent edges and an arcuate proximal edge with a second radius less than the first radius. In some embodiments, the proximal edge defines a hook to engage an inner recess of the wheel. Each spoke adjacent edge is configured to reside near a spoke of the wheel during use. In some embodiments, a protrusion extended from the lip serves as a pinch point when a tire deforms during an impact event.

  • Publication number: 20240017067
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling neurostimulation based on patient past usage pattern of stimulation therapy are disclose. An exemplary electrostimulation system comprises an electrostimulator to provide a bolus stimulation therapy (BST) to a neural target. The BST comprises stimulation boluses each comprising stimulation pulses during a first duration, any two consecutive boluses being separated by a stimulation-free second duration. A controller circuit can receive information about BST setting and past BST usage in the patient, analyze a BST usage pattern of the patient based on the received information, and determine or adjust a future BST schedule based at least on the BST usage pattern. The electrostimulator can deliver BST to the neural target in accordance with the BST setting and the determined or adjusted future BST schedule.

  • Patent number: 11857169
Abstract: A collapsible sample collection device with a novel, collapsible 3D capture open affinity net dispersed throughout the volume of the container, said net with tethered affinity moieties, is designed to address the need for low-cost, simple harvesting and concentration of diagnostic analytes that generally does not require any ancillary equipment. The collection device generally permits analytes of interest to be efficiently harvested from body fluid samples, in one step, concentrated, collapsed into a flat mailing size, and protected from degradation without the need for traditional cold chain technologies. The concentration factor will increase sensitivity by several orders of magnitude when coupled with any type of downstream analyte measurement, including point of care testing. The collection device, in various embodiments, obviates the need for handling transport or storage of the fluid portion of the body fluid sample (e.g. blood, urine, saliva, etc.

  • Patent number: 11863823
Abstract: Systems and associated methods are described for providing recording of a blacked out media content item. A system receives a request from a first user device associated with a profile to record a media content item scheduled to broadcast on a second user device (different from the first user device) associated with the profile, at a second location. The system determines that the media content item is subject to a blackout during a blackout period within a blackout region. The system determines that the first user device and the second user device are associated with the same profile and that the first user device is at a first location outside the blackout region. The system then accesses the media content item for recording on the second user device during the blackout period. The system further transmits the recorded media content item to the first user device after expiry of the blackout period.

  • Patent number: 11848960
Abstract: A server interacts with a bot detection service to provide bot detection as a requesting client interacts with the server. In an asynchronous mode, the server injects into a page a data collection script configured to record interactions at the requesting client, to collect sensor data about the interactions, and to send the collected sensor data to the server. After the client receives the page, the sensor data is collected and forwarded to the server through a series of posts. The server forwards the posts to the detection service. During this data collection, the server also may receive a request from the client for a protected endpoint. When this occurs, and in a synchronous mode, the server issues a query to the detection service to obtain a threat score based in part on the collected sensor data that has been received and forwarded by the server. Based on the threat score returned, the server then determines whether the request for the endpoint should be forwarded onward for handling.

  • Publication number: 20230399079
Abstract: A retrofit kit retrofits a buoy to provide dynamic control of a freeboard of the retrofitted buoy. The retrofit kit includes buoyancy chambers, an air reservoir, and a valve arrangement. A method for retrofitting a buoy retrofits a buoy to provide dynamic control of a freeboard of the retrofitted buoy. The buoyancy chambers surrounding a vertical axis of the buoy with a center of mass of the buoy disposed on the vertical axis below the buoyancy chambers. The buoyancy chambers provide a variable buoyancy ranging from a minimum buoyancy to a maximum buoyancy. The air reservoir inflates of the buoyancy chambers. The valve arrangement dynamically sets the freeboard of the buoy upon inflation and deflation of the buoyancy chambers for varying the variable buoyancy between the minimum buoyancy and the maximum buoyancy.

  • Publication number: 20230319705
Abstract: Within many applications impulse radio based ultra-wideband (IR-UWB) transmission offers significant benefits for very short range high data rate communications when compared with existing standards and protocols. In many of these applications the main design goals are very low power consumption and very low complexity design for easy integration and cost reduction. Digitally programmable IR-UWB transmitters using an on-off keying modulation scheme on a 0.13 microns CMOS process operating on 1.2V supply and yielding power consumption as low as 0.9 mW at a 10 Mbps data rate with dynamic power control are enabled. The IR-UWB transmitters support new frequency hopping techniques providing more efficient spectrum usage and dynamic allocation of the spectrum when transmitting in highly congested frequency bands. Biphasic scrambling is also introduced for spectral line reduction.

  • Patent number: 11777955
Abstract: A method of detecting bots, preferably in an operating environment supported by a content delivery network (CDN) that comprises a shared infrastructure of distributed edge servers from which CDN customer content is delivered to requesting end users (clients). The method begins as clients interact with the edge servers. As such interactions occur, transaction data is collected. The transaction data is mined against a set of “primitive” or “compound” features sets to generate a database of information. In particular, preferably the database comprises one or more data structures, wherein a given data structure associates a feature value with its relative percentage occurrence across the collected transaction data. Thereafter, and upon receipt of a new transaction request, primitive or compound feature set data derived from the new transaction request are compared against the database. Based on the comparison, an end user client associated with the new transaction request is then characterized, e.g.

  • Patent number: 11762703
Abstract: An on-demand code execution environment present in points of presence (POPs) and in regions serviced by the POPs is provided herein. For example, a POP may receive a request to execute a task associated with user-defined code. If the POP determines that the computing resources necessary to execute a received task are not available or that the POP should not execute the received task for another reason (e.g., the task is not commonly received and the computing resources needed to execute the task are therefore best allocated for other requests), the POP can forward the task to a region that the POP services for execution by an on-demand code execution environment present in the region. The on-demand code execution environment present in the region can execute the task and forward the results of the execution to the POP for distribution back to a user device that requested the task execution.
