  • Patent number: 10736538
Abstract: A time series of image data is provided to a computer as the basis for performing an ICA to identify a number of candidate correlation patterns. The number of candidate correlation patterns includes a number of neurophysical events and false patterns due to noise. This is followed by a differentiation in the computer between the neurophysical events and the false patterns, for example based on a metric, which indicates the intensity of the candidate correlation patterns in a sub-region of the brain, or by a computer-implemented classifier. Such techniques can be used in conjunction with functional magnetic-resonance imaging.

  • Patent number: 10732247
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for creating MR images of an examination volume, MR reference data of the examination volume are determined, and a local weighting matrix is determined using the MR reference data in order to extract MR data of the examination volume from MR signals measured in accelerated fashion with the local weighting matrix. Motion of the examination volume is determined while the MR signals measured in accelerated fashion from the examination volume are detected, whereby, if an adaptation of the reconstruction process is required when taking into consideration the determined motion, this proceeds by recalculation of the local weighting matrix taking into consideration the determined motion for correction of the determined motion, and application of the recalculated weighting matrix during the creation of the MR images which are calculated on the basis of the MR signals measured in accelerated fashion.

  • Patent number: 10733710
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for beautifying raw drawing data include a beautification engine having a raw data processor that receives the drawing data and identifies a set of segments in the data. A beautification director constructs a structural representation of the set of segments data that specifies a topological relationship between the segments. A single primitive beautifier identifies a segment in the structural representation to be beautified and a single primitive beautification action is applied to the segment to generate beautified raw drawing data. A multiple primitive beautifier identifies adjacent segments in the structural representation to be beautified and a multiple beautification action is applied to the adjacent segments to generate further beautified drawing data.

  • Patent number: 10726211
Abstract: Systems for facilitating acquisition of a language by a user receive initial user input representing a phrase in a first language. The phrase is translated to a second language then parsed to generate constituent data indicative of one or more groups of related words within the phrase. The constituents may constitute comprehensible linguistic inputs for communication to a user when the initial phrase is not a comprehensible input. Output data is generated to output the constituents to the user. Based on the relationships between the words, the characteristics of the second language, or user data indicative of the user's previous comprehension of constituents, the amplitude, frequency, output rate, or other audible characteristic of output may be modified to emphasize or deemphasize portions of the constituents.

  • Patent number: 10677863
Abstract: In a method for performing MR measurements in an MR system on an object, MR signals of the object are acquired using an imaging sequence with a first set of imaging parameters. An amended copy of the imaging sequence is automatically created with a second set of imaging parameters, which has all the imaging parameters used in the first set, wherein the second set has at least one imaging parameter modified with respect to the first set that differs from the corresponding imaging parameter of the first set according to a defined amendment. The remaining imaging parameters of the second set correspond to the imaging parameters of the first set. The amended copy is automatically configured in a measurement queue in which all the imaging sequences are stored that are to be carried out in the future on the examination object are stored.

  • Publication number: 20200132795
Abstract: Method for MR imaging of an acquisition region during a patient examination. In order to determine a point spread function, in a prior measurement for each of additional gradient output directions, the method includes choosing, in the acquisition region, a slice lying outside of an isocenter of the MR device, which slice extends in a plane perpendicular to the additional gradient output direction under consideration; following a respective slice-selective excitation of the selected slice, acquiring first calibration data using the additional gradient pulse of the additional gradient output direction under consideration, and acquiring second calibration data omitting the additional gradient pulse in each case along a k-space line, wherein a same timing sequence of additional gradient pulse and readout time window is used as in the MR sequence; and calculating, from the first and second calibration data, the point spread function for the additional gradient output direction under consideration.

  • Patent number: 10552954
Abstract: In a method and a computer for generating a physiologically-derived map correlated with anatomical image data spatially resolved physiologically-derived values within a value range are provided to a computer, as are anatomical image data. A frequency of occurrence of the provided physiologically-derived values is determined in the computer, depending on the occurrence of physiologically-derived values within the value range. A portion of the value range is selected in or via the computer, based on the determined frequency of the provided physiologically-derived values. Color coding is assigned in the computer to the physiologically-derived values of the value range outside the selected portion. A physiologically-derived map is generated by the computer by assigning a physiologically-derived value corresponding to the assigned color coding to its spatially resolved position in relation to the anatomical image data, and the map is shown at a display screen of the computer.

  • Patent number: 10551467
Abstract: In a magnetic resonance apparatus and operating method therefor, movement compensation during raw data acquisition is accomplished by operating the data acquisition scanner to acquire data from a reference navigator volume at a first point in time, using a simultaneous multi-slice technique with a first acceleration factor and a first number of first slice groups, and to acquire data from a navigator volume at a second point in time, also using a simultaneous multi-slice technique, but with a second acceleration factor and a second number of second slice groups, with the first and second acceleration factors being equal. Movement information is determined from the reference navigator volume and the navigator volume, describing movement of the patient occurring between the first and second points in time. Data acquisition parameters of the scanner are set after the second point in time, dependent on the movement information, for acquiring further magnetic resonance data.

  • Patent number: 10513780
Abstract: The invention relates to an aqueous plating bath composition and a method for depositing a palladium layer by electroless plating onto a substrate. The aqueous plating bath composition according to the invention comprises a source for palladium ions, a reducing agent for palladium ions and an unsaturated compound. The aqueous plating bath composition according to the invention has an improved stability against undesired decomposition due to the unsaturated compounds while keeping the deposition rate for palladium at the desired satisfying value. The aqueous plating bath composition has also a prolonged life time. The unsaturated compounds of the invention allow for adjusting the deposition rate to a satisfying range over the bath life time and for electrolessly depositing palladium layers at lower temperatures.
