  • Publication number: 20210113775
Abstract: The present application relates to shock absorbers for injection devices. According to a first aspect, this specification discloses an injection device comprising: a medicament container; a stopper translatably disposed within the medicament container; and a plunger rod comprising: a plunger rod body; and a shock absorber, wherein the plunger rod is operable to displace the stopper; and wherein the shock absorber contacts the stopper during displacement of the stopper by the plunger rod, thereby reducing an impact force between the plunger rod and the stopper.

  • Publication number: 20210100961
Abstract: An auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament (M) is present having a tubular chassis telescopable in a tubular case, a carrier subassembly comprising a tubular carrier slidably arranged relative to the chassis inside the case, where the carrier is adapted to contain a syringe with a hollow injection needle. The injector also has a drive spring and a plunger for forwarding load of the drive spring to a stopper of the syringe, wherein the syringe is lockable for joint axial translation with the carrier. A control spring is arranged around the carrier for translating the carrier in a proximal direction (P) for insertion of the needle through the chassis into an injection site.

  • Patent number: 10960142
Abstract: A detent mechanism for controlling translation between two components in a longitudinal direction includes a resilient beam on one of the components and a rhomboid ramp member on the other component. The resilient beam is essentially straight when relaxed and has a first beam head and is arranged to interact in a ramped engagement with respectively one of two ramps. Each ramp is on one longitudinal side of the rhomboid ramp member such that application of a translative force between the components in one longitudinal direction with the first beam head engaged to one of the ramps in a first state deflects the resilient beam in one transversal direction and such that application of a translative force between the components in the other longitudinal direction with the first beam head engaged to the other one of the ramps deflects the resilient beam in the other transversal direction.

  • Publication number: 20210030973
Abstract: An autoinjector includes a case adapted to hold a medicament container, a needle shroud telescopically coupled to the case, and a plunger slidably disposed in the case. The needle shroud is movable between a first extended position, a retracted position, and a second extended position relative to the case. The plunger is movable between a proximal position, an intermediate position, and a distal position relative to the case. When the plunger is in the intermediate position and the needle shroud is in the retracted position, the plunger abuts the case to prevent the needle shroud from returning to the extended position. When the plunger is in the distal position and the needle shroud is in the second extended position, the plunger abuts the case to prevent the needle shroud from returning to the retracted position.

  • Publication number: 20200218741
Abstract: A system and method are provided for inferring location attributes from data entries. The method comprises for data entries in a structured data set format, a computer system selecting a sample of rows. The computer system then identifies columns containing geospatial and temporal information based on the column headings. The computer system next identifies location information within the structured data set. The computer system determines implied location information based on the identified location information. The computer system derives location values based on the identified and implied location information using consolidation rules, resulting in a final set of location attributes for the data entries. The computer system then associates the final set of location attributes with the data entries.
