  • Publication number: 20200401823
Abstract: According to an aspect of an embodiment, operations may comprise receiving a point cloud representing a region. The operations may also comprise identifying a cluster of points in the point cloud having a higher intensity than points outside the cluster of points. The operations may also comprise determining a bounding box around the cluster of points. The operations may also comprise identifying a traffic sign within the bounding box. The operations may also comprise projecting the bounding box to coordinates of an image of the region captured by a camera. The operations may also comprise employing a deep learning model to classify a traffic sign type of the traffic sign in a portion of the image within the projected bounding box. The operations may also comprise storing information regarding the traffic sign and the traffic sign type in a high definition (HD) map of the region.

  • Patent number: 10869141
Abstract: Methods and apparatus determine the actual state of one or more acoustic valves e.g., whether an acoustic valve is open or closed, in a hearing device. A sensor in the hearing device is configured to generate an output signal indicative of a state of the acoustic valve. An electrical circuit actuates the acoustic valve if the actual state is different than a desired state. The determination of the state of the acoustic valve can be done on the hearing device or on a remote device.

  • Publication number: 20200370268
Abstract: The present invention relates to a below grade, blind side, dual waterproofing membrane assembly incorporating a secondary membrane comprising of a bentonite sheet waterproofing layer, and a primary membrane comprising of a sheet membrane having an adhesive to fully bond to a concrete/shotcrete. The invention encompasses a dual layer or dual membrane system that acts as a barrier, and prevents, and blocks water and moisture, from passing from one side of the structure to the other side. The dual barrier layer system can be used along a wall, a floor, a ceiling, or along any structure which requires water or moisture proofing. The invention can be used between a concrete or shotcrete layer and the surrounding earth, such as, along an area that has a high water table, or a constant hydrostatic pressure, or high ground moisture, that may creep into a foundation or a wall.

  • Publication number: 20200343941
Abstract: Systems and methods for processing, transmitting and displaying data received from an analyte sensor, such as a glucose sensor, are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method for transmitting data between a first communication device associated with an analyte sensor and a second communication device configured to provide user access to sensor-related information comprises: activating a transceiver of a first communication device associated with an analyte sensor at a first time; and establishing a two-way communication channel with the second communication device; wherein the activating comprises waking the transceiver from a low power sleep mode using a forced wakeup from the second communication device.

  • Publication number: 20200329310
Abstract: A system method provides for multi-port wind noise protection. A sound may include a desired component such as speech and an undesired component such as wind. Multiple apertures on a housing receive the sound and conduct it to a microphone. The undesired component such as wind is uncorrelated at the apertures and mixes at the microphone, attenuating in amplitude while the desired component such as speech is correlated at the apertures. In this manner, the signal to noise ratio between the desired component and undesired component is improved at the microphone.

  • Patent number: 10802158
Abstract: Systems, methods and computer program products for determining extended coherent integration intervals based on information about user activity, dynamics and clock stability. Dynamically extending the coherent integration interval increases the signal-to-noise ratio during signal acquisition and tracking, thereby providing a benefit when antenna gain is poor, in weak signal conditions, and when being jammed, or when power needs to be conserved, compared to extending the coherent integration interval for a fixed amount of time.

  • Publication number: 20200213731
Abstract: Methods and apparatus change operation of a hearing device based on a state of an acoustic valve in the hearing device. In some examples an electrical circuit performs one or more of differing operations depending on a state of the acoustic valve. Some operations change the signal to a sound producing transducer and other operations change other operations of the hearing device. For example, an electrical circuit changes active noise cancelling operation, changes equalization settings, provides noise reduction improvements, provides beam forming changes and other operations based on a state of the acoustic valve. In some implementations, a change in acoustic valve state is used to change the operation of the hearing device.

  • Patent number: 10697975
Abstract: Gene expression data provides a basis for more accurate identification and diagnosis of lymphoproliferative disorders. In addition, gene expression data can be used to develop more accurate predictors of survival. The present invention discloses methods for identifying, diagnosing, and predicting survival in a lymphoma or lymphoproliferative disorder on the basis of gene expression patterns. The invention discloses a novel microarray, the Lymph Dx microarray, for obtaining gene expression data from a lymphoma sample. The invention also discloses a variety of methods for utilizing lymphoma gene expression data to determine the identity of a particular lymphoma and to predict survival in a subject diagnosed with a particular lymphoma. • Publication number: 20200200547
Abstract: A system accesses a three-dimensional map of a geographic region and generates a two-dimensional projection of the road based on the three-dimensional map. The two-dimensional projection comprises a plurality of points along the road and each point is assigned a score measuring a navigability of the point. Based on the navigability score of each point and history of vehicle positions on the road, the system identifies a plurality of navigable points on the two-dimensional projection of the road. Based on the plurality of navigable points, the system determines a navigable surface corresponding to a physical area over which a vehicle may safely navigate and navigable surface boundaries surrounding that area. The navigable surface area and boundaries on the two-dimensional projection are converted into a three-dimensional representation, which the system uses to generate an updated three-dimensional map of the geographic region.

  • Patent number: 10687153
Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to hearing devices configurable between open fit and closed fit configurations at different times through actuation of one or more acoustic valves located in one or more corresponding sound passages of the hearing device. The one or more acoustic valves of the hearing device are adaptively controlled based on context detected by one or more sensors. The context may be, but is not limited to, a mode of operation of the hearing devices which may include, for example, an audio content playback mode and a voice communication mode. The actuatable valves may be actuatable in situ without having to remove the hearing device from the user's ear thereby enabling the user to experience the benefit of a closed fit or an open fit depending on the user's desire or other context.
