  • Patent number: 10553545
Abstract: The present disclosure provides electromagnetic shielding for integrated circuit modules with a module-bottom sealing procedure. First a precursor package with a number of integrated modules is provided. Each integrated module includes a module substrate having a number of module contacts at a bottom surface of the module substrate. A combination of a shielding protective material and a chemical resistant tape is then applied over the bottom surface of the module substrate, such that each module contact is sealed. Next, the precursor package is singulated at each inter-module area to form a number of individual integrated modules. A shielding structure is applied completely over a side surface of each individual integrated module. Herein, the shielding structure is electrically coupled to a ground plane within the module substrate.

  • Patent number: 10552373
Abstract: A facility for snapshot space accounting for a storage system, such as a filesystem is disclosed. The facility enables users to quickly and easily determine the amount of storage space that would be released or recovered if a snapshot were to be purged. The facility may work in conjunction with, or as part of, a snapshot service. The facility maintains an expiration data structure and a count data structure and uses these data structures in implementing the disclosed snapshot space accounting techniques. The expiration data structure represents the life cycle of each snapshot element maintained by the facility while the count data structure represents, for pairs of snapshots, the size of the information stored in the snapshot data that expired and that spans the corresponding pair of snapshots.

  • Publication number: 20200008327
Abstract: Electromagnetic shields for sub-modules of electronic modules are disclosed. Electronic modules may include multiple sub-modules arranged on a substrate with an electromagnetic shield arranged to conformally cover the sub-modules as well as portions of the substrate that are uncovered by the sub-modules. Electromagnetic shields are disclosed that are configured to extend between sub-modules to form one or more divider walls. The one or more divider walls may be configured to extend below mounting surfaces of electronic components in the sub-modules to provide improved reduction of electromagnetic interference (EMI) or crosstalk between various sub-modules. Electromagnetic shields are also disclosed that form perimeter sidewalls that extend below mounting surfaces of electronic components of sub-modules to provide improved reduction of EMI from other modules or other external sources.

  • Patent number: 10513845
Abstract: An adjustable barrier for use with a building having a door frame with a door frame opening, a track assembly, and a garage door positioned between the track assembly to selectively cover the door frame opening, the adjustable barrier comprising a barrier bracket and an extendable barrier panel. The adjustable barrier is adapted to seal off a garage door gap located between the garage door and the door frame, and is positioned between the door frame and the track to create a barrier preventing a pest from bypassing the garage door and entering the building through the garage door gap. The extendable barrier panel selectively extends and retracts to adjust to the distance between the track and the door frame, and may further be tapered to allow the adjustable barrier to maintain contact with the track when the track curves away from the door frame.

  • Publication number: 20190377802
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to managing data in a file system. An object from the file system that has parent objects may be provided. A snapshot in a current epoch may be generated such that the first snapshot may be based on the object and descendants of the object. A coverage set may be provided for the object that references the snapshot and also references each other snapshot that includes the parent objects. Read-only access to a version of the object may be provided based on a correspondence of the version and a snapshot referenced by the coverage set of the object. A coverage engine compares the update to a coverage update epoch (cue) associated with the parent objects. The coverage engine updates coverage sets of the parent objects based on grandparents of the object.

  • Publication number: 20190371738
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to segmented shielding using wirebonds. In an exemplary aspect, a shield is formed from a series of wires (e.g., wirebonds) to create a wall and/or shielded compartment in an integrated circuit (IC) module. The wires can be located in any area within the IC module. The IC module may be overmolded with an insulating mold compound, and a top surface of the insulating mold can be ground or otherwise removed to expose ends of the wires to a shield layer which surrounds the insulating mold. Some examples may further laser ablate or otherwise form cavities around the ends of the wires to create stronger bonding between the wires of the shield and the shield layer.

  • Patent number: 10389664
Abstract: Applications in social networks support interaction between members through various types of channels such as notifications, newsfeed, and so forth. For each channel, applications are ranked based on their user affinity measures. User affinity is based on measuring positive and negative interactions by users as both senders and recipients of messages generated by applications. Metrics are computed for the different types of messages and interactions provided by applications. For each channel, an application receives user affinity score based on specific weighted combination of the metrics. Applications use channel resources to send messages to increase their user base. Given the large number of applications that are available, the extent to which applications are allowed to use channels is controlled, limiting their resource consumption. User affinity scores of applications calculated for a channel are used to decide the allocation of channel resources for an application.

  • Patent number: 10379234
Abstract: A gamma-ray analysis system is described for analyzing gamma-ray emitting radionuclides. The gamma-ray analysis system includes an analytical apparatus having a gamma-ray detector in operative communication with a modular and scalable shield assembly that encases a sample container having a sample to be tested. The detector communicates data to an electronic interface device that converts the data from an analog format to a digital format before a controller transmits the data to a central laboratory for further data processing, analysis and conclusion by qualified laboratory analysts. The controller runs an application software package on a graphic user interface that allows simple steps for conducting testing and data acquisition by the end user, while permitting real time data transmission between the field site and the central location. Functions were implemented for ensuring laboratory quality results while removing knowledge and experience requirements of an end user.
