  • Patent number: 10924695
Abstract: Image processing systems and methods are provided for processing a stream of data values (e.g. pixel values). The image processing system comprises a processing module configured to: receive a plurality of pixel values, each of the received pixel values having a first number of bits; and implement processing of a particular pixel value by operating on a particular subset of the received pixel values, by: classifying each of the pixel values within the particular subset into a group of a set of one or more groups; determining an average value in respect of the pixel values within the particular subset which are classified into one of the one or more groups, wherein the determined average value has a second number of bits, wherein said second number is greater than said first number; replacing the particular pixel value based on the determined average value; and outputting the processed particular pixel value.

  • Patent number: 10908877
Abstract: Median values for a stream of received data values in a data processing system (e.g. an image processing system) are determined. A first median value of the received data values within a first subset of data values of the received stream is determined, and intermediate data used for determining the first median value is stored. The stored intermediate data is used to determine a median value of the received data values within a second subset of data values of the received stream, wherein the second subset at least partially overlaps with the first subset. The determined median values are outputted for use in the data processing system, e.g. for further processing.

  • Patent number: 10898652
Abstract: A medical delivery device for advancing a piston in a medicament container to expel a medicament. A support structure supports the container and a drive assembly that advances the piston. The drive assembly includes a drive ribbon that can be retracted and extended. The retracted ribbon defines a spiral and the extended ribbon defines a helix. The drive ribbon is incrementally moveable between the retracted spiral configuration and extended helical configuration. A mechanical drive rotates the drive ribbon to selectively extend and retract the ribbon. A thrust member having a helical ramp engages a proximal edge of the drive ribbon where it transitions between a spiral and helix. A bearing member at the distal end of the drive ribbon exerts an axial force on the piston when the ribbon is extended.

  • Publication number: 20200275634
Abstract: An animal feeder apparatus includes a hopper defining a cavity configured to store granular animal feed; a cup mounted with respect to the hopper and defining a concavity; and a spout defining a passageway. The spout and passageway are positioned such that, when the cavity contains the granular animal feed, the granular animal feed flows from the cavity, through the passageway, and into the concavity of the cup. The cup, hopper, and passageway are configured and arranged such that the animal feed does not flow as a result of granular friction when the concavity contains more than a predetermined amount of feed.

  • Patent number: 10724725
Abstract: Disclosed is a laser-based device for use primarily for laser light effects. The laser device comprises multiple red, green, and blue lasers. Each laser has a lens to collimate and focus each individual beam. The lasers are aligned such that each laser shares a common output axis. The intensity of each laser is adjustable thereby allowing the overall output color of the device to change. The overall output has over 16 million colors. Each laser-based device has a gimbal-like system to allow the devices change their orientation. A remote control system allows for the control and synchronization of multiple devices. Multiple devices may connect to the remote control system using cables, wireless transceivers, or both. Multiple devices may be located in close proximity to create a more powerful overall output beam. The remote control system allows for viewer interaction through an application installed onto a personal communication device.

  • Patent number: 10700940
Abstract: Features related to systems and methods for network planning based on optimization modeling of equipment and item transmissions. The network planning may include a model to plan for transmission of items over a network to maximize overall efficiencies over alternative transmission modes. The model may produce a network plan that schedules transmissions, determines the number and types of equipment needed to support the transmissions, assigns equipment to specific locations, and optimally routes items throughout the network.

  • Publication number: 20200176082
Abstract: Techniques for estimating a polymer sequence of a polymer based on a signal produced as a result of translocation of the polymer through a nanopore are described. The techniques may analyze portions of the signal to estimate whether there was a transition in the polymer sequence during each respective portion and which units of the sequence the transition was between. The techniques may comprise operation of one or more neural networks into which data from the signal may be input. The techniques may include generating a plurality of weights for a portion of the signal, wherein each weight is associated with a transition between labeled units of the polymer. The weights may be indicative of a likelihood that a transition occurred between a first of the labeled units to a second of the labeled units within the portion of the signal.

  • Patent number: 10557679
Abstract: A firearm and tool oiling chamber comprised of an oil less air compressor, sealed chamber, oil atomizer and air filter. Said system introduces air through the oil atomizer breaking oil down to a fine vapor allowing the vapor to cover all surfaces of firearm or tool. As the vapor enters the chamber, being heavier than air it forces air out through the exhaust line and filter. Any escaping oil is caught in filter. The oil is able to cover all surfaces of firearm or tool and to penetrate into areas that hand oiling does not reach using much less oil than conventional methods.
