  • Publication number: 20160304201
Abstract: A drone-based microbial analysis system includes an electronic drone control facility including an electronic storage memory device. The storage memory device stores information including a location of at least one possible contaminated area previously determined to contain at least one positively-tested microbe. At least one drone vehicle is in signal communication with the drone control facility and autonomously navigates to the at least one possible contaminated area to collect a specimen. The drone control facility performs a microbial analysis based on the collected specimen and confirms the at least one possible contaminated area is a positively contaminated area that contains at least one microbe based on the microbial analysis.

  • Publication number: 20160260341
Abstract: In an approach for determining a preferred learning style of the user, a computer receives user information of a user. The computer collects data for user model development, wherein data includes actions performed by the user. The computer creates one or more associations between actions in the collected data for user model development and received user information. The computer determines a preferred learning style of the user based on the created one or more associations.

  • Patent number: 9361409
Abstract: Automatic driver modeling is used to integrate human-controlled vehicles into an autonomous vehicle network. A driver of a human-controlled vehicle is identified based on behavior patterns of the driver measured by one or more sensors of an autonomous vehicle. A model of the driver is generated based on the behavior patterns of the driver measured by the one or more sensors of the autonomous vehicle. Previously stored behavior patterns of the driver are then retrieved from a database to augment the model of the driver. The model of the driver is then transmitted from the autonomous vehicle to nearby vehicles with autonomous interfaces.

  • Publication number: 20160155338
Abstract: Disclosed is a novel system and method for adjusting a flight path of an aircraft. The method begins with computing a flight path of an aircraft from a starting point to an ending point which incorporates predicted weather effects at different points in space and time. An iterative loop is entered for the flight path. Each of the following steps are performed in the iterative loop. First lift data is accessed from a fine-grain weather model associated with a geographic region of interest. The lift data is data to calculate a force that directly opposes a weight of the aircraft. In addition, lift data is accessed from sensors coupled to the aircraft. The lift data is one or more of 1) thermal data, 2) ridge lift data, 3) wave lift data, 3) convergence lift data, and 4) a dynamic soaring lift data. Numerous embodiments are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20160081611
Abstract: An information processing system, computer readable storage medium, and methods for analyzing the airflow related health of a person. A method includes obtaining an audio sample of a person's verbal communication, obtaining geographic information of the person, querying a remote server based on the geographic information, and obtaining additional information from the remote server, the additional information being related to the geographic information, and extracting contours of amplitude change from the at least one audio sample over a period of time, the contours of amplitude change corresponding to changes in an airflow profile of the person. The method further includes correlating the contours of amplitude change with periodic episodes typical of airflow related health problems, and determining, based at least on the additional information, whether the contours of amplitude change result from at least one local environmental factor related to the geographic information.

  • Publication number: 20150339584
Abstract: A method, system, and/or computer program product establish a data organization format for displaying data to a specific user. A first set of data, which is organized according to a user-selected data organization format, is received from a user. A cognition bias, which defines a preferred manner in which the user cognitively interprets data, is identified by being associated with the user-selected data organization format. The cognition bias is also associated with one or more other data organization formats that support the cognition bias. A second set of data is received and formatted using the one or more other data organization formats that also support the cognition bias. The second set of data is then displayed using the one or more data organization formats that also support the cognition bias.

  • Publication number: 20150329044
Abstract: A monitoring area may be defined for a monitoring device attached to a first object, wherein the monitoring area moves with the monitoring device. The monitoring device may detect a second object in the monitoring area. A collision awareness factor may be determined in relation to the monitoring area, and a warning zone may be defined in relation to the monitoring area based on the collision awareness factor. A warning may be generated based on detecting the second object within the warning zone and based on the collision awareness factor.

  • Patent number: 9178751
Abstract: There is provided a system and method for resilient routing based on a multi-channel model for emergency management. The system includes a packet delivery anomaly detector for determining an existence of an anomaly in a mandated routing infrastructure for a packet that renders the packet incapable of reaching a destination node designated for the packet through the mandated routing infrastructure. The system further includes a dynamic alternate route identifier for dynamically identifying alternate routes for the packet responsive to a determination of the existence of the anomaly. The alternate routes are outside the mandated routing infrastructure, are provided using one or more mobile devices external to and not part of the mandated routing infrastructure, and are dynamically identified responsive to at least geographic location information. The system also includes a wireless transmitter for wirelessly routing the packet using at least one of the alternate routes.
